'82 Ecu??

Featured Replies

So, whats the deal w/ 1982 ECU, Does it have one?? All the info on Roo ECUs starts at '83. My car gets crappy mileage and just wondering if there is an ECU that could be causing issues

thanks

HEY!!!!!! your from reno too!!!!!!!!! anywho, the ecu units started in '83 because that was the first year subaru released its first fuel injection system(but it was turbos only) they never made a fuel injected N/A Ea81 motor(which is in your '82) so you should have a carbureted soobie. Send me a PM (private message) and welcome to the board!!!!!

Some do.Some don`t.If you have an O2 sensor, then you `ll have an ECU.My info shows 81 ECUs as well.Doubt it is your issue.

cool, I do have O2 censor, anyone know where to find info for it.

You have a feedback carb. The ECU isn't your problem, it's either the coolant temp sensor, the O2 sensor, or the carb itself. Rip the thing off and replace it with a Weber 32/36 DGV. You probably have the carter/weber single barrel. They are known for a variety of issues.
