This is under the cover over the passenger side rear strut tower in my 90 Legacy wagon

speaker maybe, just check if there is any current/voltage on it. But on my 91 leg i had to put the speaker cable there myself.

 

Could also be something for the pneumatic suspension.

Yup definitly is a speaker wire. The other one is the wire that goes to the relay for the rear wiper.

Ya, I agree too. If that is all that was there you are missing a speaker mounting bracker also.

Are you talking about the wire or the metal thing?

 

The metal thing is part of the fuel vapor system. The wire IIRC is speaker.

another thing that was there (or is there) is the relay for the rear wiper... just found this out.. thought i would share:)

lol I guess I should have been more specific, I was referring to the metal thing.. I know the wire is for the speaker, I just re-wired some old Clarion speakers I had to replace the blown stock speakers lol...

isn't that something to do with the gas tank? like some secondary overflow tank or something? i remember reading about the legacy sedans and wagons and how they had a different...tank ....thingie ...that was for the gas tank....

 

thats my vote... but hell if i know
