I am driving the legend. it's a 1987. wink.gif

I don't want to get banned either. I say no more- don't want to hurt the childish emotional background the new body/looks/engine came from. rolleyes.gif

I hope it does good, seriously. 2 extra mains and half the body. Fabulous. I'm almost giddy with joy. lol.gif

Sorry for the HJ....couldnt resist:-p

now there is butt load of things to do to get it ready.

I have to finish the interior and give it a quick and dirty rattle can job so that all of the panels look the same color.

Rustoleum Paint Job? Would be more cost effective, and better protection.

looked into that today on the way home from work.

They have a gallon of gloss white for 35.00

A quart of royal blue for 7.00

A gallon of paint thinner is 12.00

Foam rollers and paint tray $10.00 or so

large bucket to mix the paint $5.00

Total = $69.00 or so.

I have to finish the dash/combo meter assembly back together. Install the door panels, finish making the tranny console.

I will take finished pictures.

BTW I have an appointment w/the Smog Referee on 8/8/07 here's hoping that nothing happens by them.

Thats probably about twice as much paint as you need, but don't quote me on that. Most people find that about 3 quarts of diluted mix (about half of which is mineral spirits) is enough.

Kingbobdole reported only using about 1.5 quarts of yellow and .5 quart of black on his xt6 paint job.

once I get a new door for my XT6 and do some more work on it...when I repaint it I am going to use this mix and roll method..the results seem very impressive ( ceot i am still keeping it the yellow and black scheme I have now
