Take a look at these pics.... bizarre looking old vehicle that I've never seen before. But it has subaru wagon wheels. Is it maybe a puegot stealing some subaru wheels? Or some old subaru I've never seen? It was parked front end into the woods for the last 5 years and I always thought it was a VW bug. But... now that it's running around and visible from other sides, it's obviously not. The owner also has a fairly nice '82 brat (you can see the front in one picture) and a beater '86 wagon. I might just stop and ask him someday.

Not sure what it is, may be an old pugeot or something. It is a rear engined car, lloks 1950's.

Well, I did some googling, and it IS a puegeot.... probably a Puegeot 203 it seems.

Wow. I've never actually seen a puegeot that old before. Great condition too. Too bad it's not an old 4wd subaru though... that would be really sweet -- I love the looks of it, especially with subaru wagon wheels on it.

Old puegots are really cool. a neighbor had one that was a wagon. i wouldntr mind having one, though the 4speed on the tree was a bit confusing. They have classic 1950's lines without being boats.

an older backwoods type of guy that lives over here has one of those old peugeots like that. he also has a brand new engine assembly for one sitting in a rusted out microbus along with a simca engine, both in the crates.

 

i agree though, i had a 4 speed on the column fiat 1100 103d what a pita that thing was to drive:-\ especially with only an e brake lol

It is actually a Renault 4CV. Still French but not a Peugeot!

 

Did not realise they share the same stud pattern as Subaru and Peugeot. You learn something everyday!

i guess the old guys is a renault then. either way its still got cool lines

Thinking about this again, someone must have changed the stud pattern early Renaults had 3 stud wheels not 4.

There was an '39 Peugeot on ebay a few days ago. It went for a ton of $$$! Very sweet looking car though:slobber:

When I worked at Peugeot years ago, this old Renault was fashionable because Renault had just released a retro concept car called the "Fiftie" that was a tribute to the 4CV. See pics, it was really cool:
