My oil dipstick is fine, but my tranny dipstick keeps poping out!

Featured Replies

I was reading Warp3's thread about the oil dipstick poping out, and it made me recall that my transmission dipstick keeps poping out. Any suggestions?

well I was actually just going to crip the cap down a little bit and see if it wouldn't stay, but I just wanted to make sure there wasn't any other reason that this is happening.

its gotta be from vibration(hopefully). just bend the little friction maker part out further, and it'll hold tighter.

you might want check the vent tube usually on top of the tranny it could be plugged and the pressure is blowing it out :cornfuzz:

Ah, good point. Although I think it was just loose. I gave it a little bit of a pinch and it seems to stay put now. (Of course, it'll probably build up presure and shoot through the hood now. LOL.....)
