November 18, 200718 yr Looking at putting a new clutch in when getting the HG's done in my 2000 OBW. Is this a decent clutch? Any input and advice would be great! I don't need to know if it's the absolute best clutch out there, but I want to know if it's a good value for the price. Thanks! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SUBARU-IMPREZA-FORESTER-LEGACY-OUTBACK-CLUTCH-KIT_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33730QQihZ009QQitemZ190174926311QQtcZphoto
November 18, 200718 yr I used the same kit in my Legacy. No complaints, although even with a nice machined flywheel, I still have clutch chatter/shuddering to deal with.
November 20, 200718 yr I've installed these in VW's, Honda's, Toyota's, Saturns, and today one is going into a 97 OB. I've never had an issue with them in the other cars. I don't expect to have an issue with the Sub. FYI I buy a kit called Rhino Pak (I'll have to check that spelling) that is a flywheel, clutch plate, TO bearing, pilot bearing, etc. For usual jap stuff and Saturns they cost me around 100 bucks, for a Sub closer to 250. Why are the Sub's so special? Dave
November 20, 200718 yr The Valeo clutch was OEM on your car . But just like wondercow2 says they tend to chatter when cold and some time always . Subaru went to an EXEDY/DAKIN clutch to get away from the chatter problem , to answer your question is it a good price ..Yup <br> SEA#3
November 20, 200718 yr The Clutch Kit looks fine to me, NTN is a good bearing manufacturer. I doubt youll beat the price. Well, maybe. Go to town!
