These are for a 91 Loyale wagon. I checked with the local NAPA store and the price was $50.00 each. Is there a cheaper place or will the old prop rod win again? Thanks

If there are any in a junk yard, snatch them. I got ones that worked just like new for $5.

I've used these folks in the past, can't remember price tho'.

Autozone has them. I don't remember the price but they are less than $50 each, maybe something like $70 for both. I just can't remember what I paid for them. They don't fit like the originals, there's an included bracket that you have to add.

I have found that a cheap pair of vise-grips works good to hold struts up.

One suggestion. My struts also died long ago, and since I didn't want to replace them and prop rods are a real pain, I just bent them. Grab the 2 rods and push them outwards, or sideways ect. and it will keep the hatch up no problem. Slightly harder to open, but not $100 harder.
