December 18, 200322 yr Go down to any home store and get the black silicone like "Black Magic" roofing sealant Pull seal back like in your pic and fill with the sealant then push down or even tape til dry. If your unsure about that call your local glass shop and i think that they have the same sealant but its for glass. Hope this helps:D Sean
December 18, 200322 yr Before you put any type of sealant on there, make sure the area is really dry. You don't want any moisture in there at all.
December 19, 200322 yr Put some masking tape on the window to make any cleanup from squeeze out easier.
December 19, 200322 yr The proper sealant to use is urethane, but if you want the bond to stick over the years, both the glass and the rubber need to be primed. There is two different primers and a tube of urethane invilved in this repair = about $15. Cheaper to take a six-pack to the local glass shop and say "Hey man, can you fix me up, here?" It works every time. Most shops will do it for free to promote their business in hopes that the next time you need a new shield, you'll come there.
