strange button

Featured Replies

I have a 95 leg sw, I have a button on the left hand side of the dash, I would assume it is a fog light switch by the marking, it appears as if it is factory, is that where the factory one should be, and how hard is it to mount an aftermarket foglight system, I have the cutouts in the bumper but no lights.

Thanks

Roger

dont touch it!!! it is the self destructing button!

they may have changed the bumper cover and not putting new fogs in after a fender bender or something

it is very easy just look under the hood, all the whiring should still be there, just bypass the relay and connect it to the switch with an inline fuse

All the car parts stores sell after market fog and driving lights. Use a ruler to measure the bumper size opening for the lights to get an idea of what size to shop for. You will have to figure out how to mount the lights in the holes. Anything inside the hole to bolt to?

Could be the rear fog light switch???? My car has front and back and two switches in that location.

Front is an option, right? Are rear fogs mandatory where you live?

does the icon on the switch look like

the one on switch on the far left

note:

this is a newer OB but switches are in about the same place,

and use similar icons

Why bypass the relay? It's there for a reason!

10/4 on what cob says.

Besides in some states (mine PA for instance)

there is a silly law that fog lights only be

on with the low beams.

The coil of relay mentioned is powered by the low beam circuit.

You might pull the switch out of the dash and look

for wires connected to it.

If so, the wires for the lights are probably under the bumper.
