wiper issue

Featured Replies

hi,I have an 04 obw. and for some reason the intermitent wipers are not working.they worked fine then one day they just stopped.the wipers work if i pull the arm down to fast.and the little dail still seems to work fo the rear.is it the little arm switch or th wiper engine??? or??? and is it easily fixed?

I have a warenty but if i can fix it easily myself i would rather do so. and not pay the deductable. any help?

There really isnt anything to the switch, which can easily be checked out with a meter. I think its the control/delay module.

if you are freindly with a multimeter?

We can get you the switch wiring for the connector

under the panel covering the lower steering coluum.

Then you can track it down to the delay control unit

or the switch.

I don't know where to check that,or anything,Im not that good with kind of thing, lol

is the arm switch expensive? I thought since it as working for high and the back you guys would say it was the wiper motor.I may have been able to do that myself but i dont know about the electrical stuff.

Since you have a warranty you may still be better off using it than purchasing a new delay module. Check out the price for one at the dealer and see if you are money ahead by doing that.
