Has anybody done a disc setup on a Gen 1 wagon?

Featured Replies

I've looked around some and was wondering if anyone has done or knows someone that has done a disc brake conversion on a '75 era wagon. I saw the pic of "the Pickle" but it dosen't say anything about the brakes.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanx,

Mike

dude nice wagon. Sorry I haven't done a rear disc brake setup on my 79 wagon yet. I want to though:rolleyes: Maybe sometime we could get together cause I notice you live in Medford;) There's a couple gen 1 Brats up here if ya need any parts. Us 70's guys need to stick together:D

I have drums on all fours. I'd like to do the front at least(for now).

I've got some ideas goin' right now. 3" lift, HiPo EA-81, D\R swap,

but I want to have goob brakes before all of that.

'75 4wD wagon-historic value-if that means anything to you.Personally I'd keep it stock and find a beater to make a vintage woods toy out of.Nice wagon.

Yes - find an EA81 to beat up - not a historic peice like the 75. That was the first year for Subaru 4WD in case you didn't know. Lifting it would be nearly a sin (and also pretty difficult so says Mudrat79 - who's done at least one).
