What would you all recommend using to seal up the cam towers on a ea82?

OEM they are sealed with the three-bond equivelent of RTV. That's what I've always used.

Make sure it is clean! I stuffed rags in mine and let them soak up the oil for a day so it wouldn't drip down as I was putting it together.

 

I used Loctite 518 (Permatex 51813) but the key is to keep it clean. Use Acetone to clean the surfaces.

+1, don't use too much (issues of extra sealant going places where you don't want it are documented well), make sure you've cleaned out the groove on the mating surfaces . . .

I,ve got some stuff called The Right Stuff. I have used it for a few other non subaru related projects, it should do the trick, right? And the little o ring in there, does this absolutly need to be replaced?
