GLCraig Posted September 24, 2008 Share Posted September 24, 2008 The way that the struts mount to the steering knuckle is completely different between an Impreza and an EA82. You would need to find several pieces from an XT6 and to do this swap cleanly; you would want to do the full 5-lug conversion. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
idosubaru Posted September 25, 2008 Share Posted September 25, 2008 he mentioned the top hat, not the entire strut assembly. i'm not sure what good it would do you, but an Impreza strut top hat should fit into the EA82 bolt holes.....not sure about the "strut side", but i'm not sure what that would gain you? you might want to give a hint about what you're trying to do. like they said - the EJ struts do not even come close to interchanging with the EA stuff. the bottom mounts aren't even remotely similar.
