December 7, 200817 yr what other cars have the same carb as the 78 brat? its the 1.6. im trying to find a used one i can rebuild cause mine is missing parts from the previous owner rebuilding it wrong. i was hoping a more popular car used it as well seeing that i probably wont find a bunch of old brats laying around the junk yard. also if anyone has one that they want to sell and live in az let me know! thanks

December 14, 200817 yr That was an Hitachi Carb? ... Why don`t you just Forget about it, and swap there a Weber? Weber Carbs Always give Better Performance a more Low End Torque.
December 14, 200817 yr Author i want to keep it completely stock. and all original cause this is like the only clean one i've seen and like the only one that hasn't been lifted and raped off road haha. so im staying factory as possible its the beginning of a collection. when im older it will be worth something for sure.
December 14, 200817 yr There are a few gen 1 brats at the yards around here that have complete carbs on them. Let me know if you want me to pull one for you. Or if you want to convert yours over to a weber I could help you there also. I have a spare ea71 intake as well if you need that.

December 14, 200817 yr I have 5 parts Brats out back. There's sure to be a rebuildable carb. I drive '78 that I'm keeping stock, too. The carb is definitely a pain in the a**.
