superpro for 5spd d/r trans?

Featured Replies

I was curious if there are any shift linkage bushings available from superpro or anything similar? Interested to see if anyone out there has made their shifter on their 5spd d/r trans feel rally car tight?

In the linkages to the back of the box (4wd gear part) there is a deliberate slop made into the system so when your box moves it doesn't pull it out of 4wd or low range.

It is an elongated hold.

I haven't found anything specific....

once I get my hands on a rear diff hanger, I'll be taking some measurements and comparing to EJ stuff for that and shift linkage. EJ cars use a similar design for the bushings....just have to confirm the size.

I recently pulled a ej dual range and shifter etc.The bush in the shifter is blue suggesting it could be a aftermarket one.Shouldn't be to hard to cross reference the size.

Hi Jerry,

A few years ago I bought some bronze bushings at Lowes Home Improvement. Custom, but I didn't have to do any drilling. Just mix and match bushings, spacers, washers...so on and so forth. I took pictures, If I can find them. Very tight feel. Just like my old Hurst Competition Plus.
