Stupid fender...

Featured Replies

So i get most the bolts off my passenger side fender to take a look at the snorkle, but theres two damn bolts right behind the light that no tool i own can get to and get leverage on!! Do i really have to take the front bumper off too?

It can be a bugger, but you can do it with a ratchet. I did a few and had to do a little prying, or have someone stand on the bumper. If not, a wrench will work. Amazing little buggers at times.

Yea,ill take a longer look at it, it's cold as hell outside so i didnt want to play around with it too much=)

I always removed the bumper. 4) 14mm bolts, 2 signal lamp plugs. I make adjustments in the position of harness & hoses that are sometimes in the way of the bolts so if there is a next time, it is easier.

+1 for removing the bumper.

It seems like it would take more time but in reality, its easier and faster to remove the 2 14mm bolts with a ratcheting wrench and them remove the 2 10mm bolts on the fender with an air ratchet or regular ratchet instead of trying to monkey f*** around with it;)

Yes, remove the Bumper, but I Suggest to use some Penetrating Oil there, `cos bolts can be Rusted and Hard to Turn...

Good Luck!
