hazard melting fuses

Featured Replies

have melted 2 fuses for the hazard flasher, clock, and turn quit working

symptoms: volt guage goes down to 12, lights go dim, fuse melts, car stinks, black smoke, little orange flaming glow only when car is running

it is the middle top row fuse, four from the right :madder:

looks like you got a nasty short somewhere. follow along and look for melted wires. maybe a short with one of your turn light circuits

Or some tin foil - but don't do that if you like driving without flames. On the other hand - Skip sets his passenger seat on fire for heat - so I suppose it's all relative.....

I still haul a "luggage" in the front seat

I found the problem when I added more "turning signal fluid"

I removed the horn wires on the right side up to the point where they run with all of the wires, the one wire melted the insulation off about a foot in length

IT'S FIXED  !

what is the closest point to the source that I can "disconnect" the horn wires"

notice my "D" horn
