does the 84 gl wagon look like the 85 and newer (the loyal look) or does it look like the 83 and older (the rounder look) ? if you own an 84 gl, would you pretty please put up a few pics of it so i can see what i'm getting myself into! thanks

whats up with the 81'?

yeah, i had a pic of the 84 but it is from the front, and the hood looks like a loyal hood... so the the headlights... anyways DUDE, 4X4!!! I made the guy go out and throw a battery in it and it fired right up and i guess the AC blows cold too! Sittin for 8 years and started after like 5 cranks.... RADICAL! I'm going to look at the 84 on friday.... then i will officially decide which to get... i think i'll probably end up with the 84... i just wish the old man would give me a little bit of a better deal.... grrrrrr. anyhow, story still applies if someone has pics of their 84, i'd like to see them... thanks!!!

They do not share the same body as the Loyale.

awesome... because i WAAAY prefer that older style...

'84 and '83 had the quad headlights, but the '82 and '81 had the single large rectangular headlights. Other than that, I think the bodies were all the same. And... the hatches up to '89 had that body as well (at least the front....)

 

And yes, I prefer that style, over the Loyale style. I loved my '89 wagon... but for the one to keep and build up with the lift kit and different engine... I chose the '82 wagon.

hehehehehe, yes it is, only I need to replace the rings in cylinder 3 and the EGR valve and gas cap to pass smog, only the engine is in me BRAT for the time being and got another cap and EGR so wish me luck for a registration fix for the BRAT.
