  1. This thread is old news, but I'm wondering if there is still a club in Israel?? I'm here in Jerusalem, looking for people to meet up with and hopefully do some 4x4in...... Let me know!
  2. Hey, I'm in Israel, looking to meet some other Subie people.... I'd like to know more about the club you mentioned in a post.

  3. I think meeting in Grass Valley is an awesome idea. we could all go to the yard here and pull a ton of parts and stuff. There's at least 10 soobies older than 92 or so in the yard, but they usually get crushed pretty quickly.... hmmm.... is Green Horn a good place to wheel right now? Do we even want to wheel, or just have a BBQ and hang out? I for one probably will not have a wheeler by then, but i'd love to ride along.... so i'm hearing sunday might work for a few people... is there anyone who can NOT make it on a sunday?
  4. weekends are best for me.... otherwise wed. or fri is good.....are we going totry to get up north a bit so the NV guys/gals can make it? Maybe Grass Valley area? Just a thought....
  5. :brow:the go cart track in my town is going out of buisness..... would one of those fit over the frames they use at those little speedways? I bet I could pick up one of their go carts CHEAP.... hmmmmmmmmmm...
  6. :-\yeah, i know, the guy screwed me.... he told me $300, no problem, then i said ok, went to do the paperwork and all, and he said "oh, i guess actually $400" blah blah blah... jerk. i tried to trade him for my 300zx, but that didnt work either! haha. Anyhow, one plus that there would be is that its sitting next to 10 other subarus, so if i go to the yard i could potentially put in all new seats and a new hatch (the one on this one is banged up) as well as all new interior pieces etc BEFORE i drive it out of the yard and hte guy would never know.... which would be sweet, and worth the extra $100..... BUT I'm just concerned with the things that are wrong with it as i do not know how to diagnose them.... if anyone has any thoughts on what might be wrong woth it based on what i said, that would be good...:-\
  7. contact 4x4brat.... he'll build you a nice lift
  8. it is 4wd, but it doesnt have hi/lo (which sucks cuz i REALLY want hi/lo). Anyhow, the only things i can tell that is wrong with it just from tinkering for a little while is that the ebrake lever doesnt work, i put it into 4wd and now cant get it out, the brakes go to the floor, when it's idling (i didnt even have a bettery in it, and it sat there and ran like a champ:banana:) the exhaust doesnt smell like ANYTHING... just smells basically like air! But as soon as you give it any gas, it smoke out the tail pipe like CRAZZZZY, and there is oil in the air filter compartment..... which i dont know if thats due to the owner filling it too full with oil, or soething worse... and the seats are shot.... that's all i can tell so far....
  9. not yet!!! i went to buy a car today at the junk yard, but the guy wont budge from $400 for a 84 wagon thats has some issues.... anyways, i'm still without a car, but im more than happy to help someone else with thier car until i get mine. you still interested in that wagon 4x4brat?
  10. Well my brother and i went to the junk yard today and found an especially "good" looking soob.... so we decided to see if we could get it to run. sure enough about 2 hours later we were driving around the yard! haha! Anyhow, i tried to buy it from the guy, but he wanted 400 for it, which i really didnt want to pay, as it did have a few issues... 84 dl wagon.... would have saved it for 200, but 400 is a bit steep. anyhow, just thought I'd post this up as it was a killer time, and i know ya'll will appreciate it, since no one in my own family thinks its cool! haha anyways, if anyone wants a wagon for $400, let me know!!!
  11. are tail lights different depending on if its a hatch or wagon???????
  12. newsoobdude- where do you live? stuff is at Kilroys if you are from G.V. you probably know where that is.... dude is being EXTRA cool there right now and said he'd be willing to give me the soobs for cheap since he's about to crush them.....if you're near G.V, we could meet up there. let me know
  13. not sure if the ECu is all there, i'll check it out tomorrow. the visors should be good, i think the interior looked good.... tell me what i'm looking for with the roof motor + drive system. I'm not at my house, so i dont have my manuals to look it up. i'm happy to pull it for you though if you let me know. the guy is pretty cool, i think the prices will be reasonable.
  14. So i'm not posting this in the ForSale because it's not really stuff for sale! ha... anyhow, I have access to some cars that are going to be crushed, and i THINK i can parts off of them for pretty cheap. anyhow, if this needs to be moved, it's fine, but i'd like to see if anyone needs this. there's an 88gl basically complete and not too banged up outside. '86 turbo, kind of beat up, but the roof glass is good, so is some other stuff. '81 all interior in great shape, and what i THINK is an 83 dl which is basically 100% complete inside and out. anyhow, let me know. I'm in Nor Cal and happy to try and save this stuff for a good price if you need it. pm if you need something, and like i said, if this needs to be moved, then so be it.
  15. worth it to spend for a brand name, or can one from harbor freights do the job???:-\
  16. i do not think they are skiing.... there's like 3 inches of snow at the resort right by my brothers... WEAK...i was hoping to find some people in the area, because i come up here to visit my brother frequently, and it would be cool to know some other people here as well....
  17. TeamCF, where is that second video taken? It looks EXACTLY and i mean EXACTLY like this place i wheel in Grass Valley CA. crazzzzzzy.... if i buy a new soobie tomorrow (keep fingers crossed) i'll go to the spot and take a video to compare them!
  18. because i'm sitting here looking out the window and 1 out of every 10 cars that goes by is a PRE 92 or so soobie!! WTF!??!!??!! where are all the soobie owners?
  19. alrighty, so which would be better; a winch mounted to the front bumper which weighs the front down and inch or so, or a portable winch i can store in the hatch or on the roof??
  20. Anyone here from the hoodriver/ odell/ parkdale / salmon falls/ etc area?????!!?
  21. what size winch should i buy to pull the soobie out of trouble?
  22. contact 4x4brat he's got 1st gen kits that he can build! BUY ONE FROM HIM so he can afford to buy this 81 he's lookin at!!
  23. you should check out nasioc.com..... you'll get a lot more info on your car there i think.. that's where i usually go for my 06. ongrats on the car
  24. just a thought, you might want to at least give a call to the local scrap yards just to give them a heads up.... offer them a reward or something so that they might actually care.... i doubt it will make it this far, but i'll keep an eye out in hood river...
  25. i can just imagine the AAA call after you accidentally blow the fuse... "yeah, i'm stuck in the middle of NO WHERE in my soob... uh... yeah i need a fuse, can you send a truck? What? Oh, i blew mine trying to prevent someone from stealing my 1984 wagon!!!!!" Sweet.....
