February 27, 200917 yr does anybody know if the 4.11 in my ea82t trans 5 speed - will go into a 5 speed dual range transwith 3.90 . if so are there any special mods . i would like to get the dual range but also keep my gearing. thaanks in advance

February 27, 200917 yr Either way, its not going to match up. But you can convert the 3.9 open to a 3.9 LSD using the 3.7 LSD.

March 1, 200917 yr Put the LSD center chunk in the 3.9 case with the 3.9 ring gear and set it up. This will leave you with the necessary parts to make a 3.7 open diff.. for what it's worth is it just a matter of swapping the ring and pinion and setting it up?
