March 13, 200917 yr Ok guys found after replacing some exhaust gaskets 2 rust spots. They were apparently done by a leaking master cylinder.... :-\ They are about the size of a quarter and close to the drivers wheel on the underneath. How can I stop it? NO WELDING INVOLVED... Thought maybe some rust eliminator, remove loose material and fill with epoxy or something.... How do I go about painting the area under the master cylinder both under the car and under the hood?
March 13, 200917 yr If that`s not Deep Rust, you can use Sandpaper, Clean it and then Paint it with Anti Rust Paint (Like Rustoleum) That`s an Easy Fix, but only for Light Rust...
March 15, 200917 yr Rust must be a very big issue where you are at? Fix the leaking M/C first. Get a small wire brush and hit it hard, clean it well with a strong deagreaser and rinse well. There are lots of in store products to prime with, then just coat it with paint. If you are worried about overspray and even getting spray in there, buy something in a can and sluff it on with a 1/2" chip brush or something. I wouldnt waiste a terrible ammount of money on super removers.
