Caramanos2000
Will these wheels http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=96888 fit my EA-82 wagon?
Turbone
Nope, they will not clear the front brake calipers.
TheSubaruJunkie
They will clear if: a) your brake pads are worn down really really far... you grind off alittle of your brake caliper. Other than that, no.
Caramanos2000
Would this grinding be dangerous? IE its a daily driver
Turbone
Would this grinding be dangerous? IE its a daily driver It depends. After doing some measuring of the wheels in question and a set of EA82 alloys (Yes, I have a pair of them), there is a 1in difference of the inside diameter. The wheel offset is totally different also, altho I dont know if this would make a difference or not. Offset for the old alloys is 3.5in and the EA82 alloy is 5.25in. So, depending on how you feel grinding a 1/2in off your calipers will decide whether you want the wheels bad enough. Not many have done it, but I havent done a search about it either. TheSubaruJunkie
Yeah I wouldnt do it either. I have heard of others doing it. Its been a long time. I only know about the brake pad thing because I once owned a EA82 that came with EA81 wagon wheels on it. They worked fine, but then I did a brake job and once I replaced the pads the wheels wouldnt move.
