April 11, 200916 yr Has anyone ever done a solid front and rear end on a subie and dropped a small block and tranny in? I know it would take away from the whole subie power thing, but i would have a different subie with subie drivetrain to equal it out! I was thinkin a Dodge 318 with a tranny from an early 80's power wagon( they are so small and light i can toss one a good few feet), Just wanna hear if anyone has done this and the problems you would encounter.
April 12, 200916 yr So, You are Thinkin` about Something Like This: isn`t it? Found Those Pictures on internet some time Ago... I`m Sorry but I Don`t Know more information about it, except that Seems like it has a Saturn Engine

April 13, 200916 yr Yea, thats sweet, ya know whats under the hood? I think it was a saturn motor, 1.8L or something really obscure like that... Best thing to do is keep the stock motor or EJ swap it... Have a D/R 5spd with a sammy tcase(with a regear), and toy axles with new diff gears and lockers and you are good to go... No need for lots of power when you have an insane crawl ratio... Ask me how I know, lol....

Im totally gonna have an ea82 with ej22 and 5 spd d/r and keep it a nice classic subaru wheeler, But where you are missing my point is I really need something with a V8 in it, And when I build a 318 and get a tranny for it I cant think of a cooler host to put it in(subaru ea82 wagon).
