Quest. for a suspension guru

This might be a stupid question but, what does a adjustable shock do for you? In this case the REBOUND is adjusted on the rear shock. Thanks, Brian.

Re-bound has NOTHING to do with ride higth. It controlls how fast the valving in the shock lets it expand(get longer) so more rebound will let the car come up from a bump faster less rebound will let it come up slower;)

Basically a shock setup with less rebound will be soft and give you a squishy ride. A shock setup with more rebound will be stiff and ride hard. More rebound means more force pushing it back in contact with the road, and therefore generally better handling.

Thanks guys, that makes sense. --Brian

Brian, does this mean your Brat is up and running again?

Hi Ed, yes I fixed the Brat before X-mas with Austin having the steering knuckle I needed. Now that the holidays are over I have more time to allocate to my baby. I have a vibration/noise at certain speeds like the wheel wobbles badly. I've tried separately swapping out the wheel, brake rotor, and axle in case one was bent. I'll get an alignment next maybe it's as simple as that. The control arm and strut assbly look straight to my eye. I also went out to the PAPs last week to look for a fender and door, but passed on what was there. According to the parts manual I need a '83-up coupe or hatchback door and a '83-up any model fender. BTW your PM box is full.--Brian
