Backseat Swap

Featured Replies

I was wondering has anyone swapped a backseat out of a wagon into a sedan. It would be handy to be able to lay down for extra storage. Just curious if anyone has done this, and how they did. :)

I have swapped a newer Legacy sedan rear seat with fold down arm rest and folding trunk area access into my 84 EA81 sedan.

I had to cut some of the wire frame out of the foam, and bend the sides around to make it fit.

Fitting into an EA82 Sedan would probably be even easier.

They made EA82 GL-10 sedan's with fold-down seats for pass-through access to the trunk. You just need to find one.

Or are you talking about a Legacy? Your username says '91 so I'm assuming it's a Loyale.... Legacy's also had the fold-down pass-through option. My '91 Turbo has the fold-down seats as did all the LS and LSi models I believe.

I guess I thought the rear wheel tubs were in different places so the seats were shaped very differently, issue I had anyway - but that was wagon to coupe.

Thought I resurrect this instead of starting a new thread.

Has anyone ever found a way to put a newer split wagon backseat into an ea81 wagon?

anything else fit into rear of EA81 wagon, that has been attempted?
