Featured Replies

Somwhere out there in the hinderlands we call the internet, I remeber seeing the procedures on how to R and R a heated seat. Winter is coming and my seat is cold.

Has anyone seen this?

I vaguely remember something as well. The post involved someone changing out the heating element. Of course I might be confused with a DIY on a electric water heater.

I thought that when I asked (here) about my 96 OB non functioning heated seat I was told it was impracical to replace them....I hope that is wrong as I would Love to have a heated seat this winter...anyone???

Ill hunt this week. Impracticel if you pay someone else to do it. You need to really strip the seat apart to get to the element.

Worse comes to worse ill do it in the end of the month and tell ya how.

They come up on ebay from time to time, and a universal kit is 80.00.

My drivers side heater in my '03 is at that point where it works, but is slow to heat up, and only works when I'm sitting in it.

If it's not worse than last year I'll live with it, if it starts getting worse I'll be really interested to hear how this works out.
