any help would be greatly appretiated.

so i drive a 86 xt mpfi ea82 5spd fwd 132xxx:banana:

the car sat for four years before i got it but i have put like 9000 miles on it since

so the problem: I have this noise coming from the front end its only when turning under power or with hard acceleration from a standstill. it makes the same sound as if my tire was flat and bumping along the road. it doesnt really seem side specific or anything. cv axles seem alright and idk if its the dif or what. o! also when you shift hard it sounds like the dang engine is falling out (not sure if its related but never know)

thanks guys

ryan

check the teeth in your hubs. make sure the axle nuts are torqued to Hades.

check and check. i just did the wheel bearings in the front end and i made sure everything was good

Probably an inner CV joint (Double Offset Joint). They clunk or vibrate like that. Just because the boot is intact doesn't mean the joint is good.

If the axle has ever been replaced then that points to the axle even more. Aftermarket store bought axles are junk.

Get an old original Subaru axle and reboot it or buy one from MWE.
