I mounted mine the same way and it skips pretty badly, and sometimes has trouble ejecting the disc all the way. I was wondering if the extreme angle of the slanted console was a factor. I was wondering if the extreme angle of the slanted console was a factor. sorry it took me FOREVER to reply, my deck actually isn't having skipping problems except over really violent bumps(which i usually slow down for if caught in time). So to answer, no it doesn't skip, might be the type of deck i have though! I love alpine decks and would swear by em, so it might be the type of deck you have...
