  1. yeah, selling that car should be for PARTS ONLY - it is not roadworthy any more. and here in WI at least, the way to enforce that "parts only" thing is to write "JUNK" in big letters across the front of the title. just because you can drive it, does not mean you should.
  2. That display is an indication of a failure in the CAN High circuit. Probably the gauge cluster isn't able to communicate with the ECM or BCM on CAN H. You will need an oscilloscope to troubleshoot the CANBUS lines. Could be a wiring issue or more likely one of the modules is shorted or open on the CAN H and pulling the signal up/down or causing it to float due to a termination circuit failure. https://support.squarell.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/94/0/can-high--can-low Replacing the computer requires reprogramming the immobilizer - which is synced between the ECM, Body Module (BCM), the gauge cluster, and the chip key. This is very involved level of diagnostics that many shops are not equipped for. Even many dealers have no one on staff that is capable of diagnosing this. You will need to find someone in your area that is familiar with CANBUS diagnostics AND the proclivities of Subaru's. GD
  3. 1995 ECU only works with 1995 cars.
  4. The last tab closest to the small end of the locking lever, push down it has a small ledge to hold the lever in locked position.
  5. There are no complete assemblies (that are not junk) for these cars. You don't need a spring compressor for the rears. You can just lean on them a bit and start the nut. The wheel arches are such that these cars always look like they are sagging and I'm about 95% that if you install anything that's "stock" it's going to look and act exactly the same as what you already have. A non-rusty car with 106k on it is pretty much guaranteed to have good springs, and at least marginal shocks (which have no effect on ride height). I would just get the King springs and put them on your existing struts and call it a day. Rick
  6. No that's just silly. Get some King springs for the rear from Primitive Racing. Will stiffen it up and allow more cargo and trailer weight, etc. GD
