I've had the little bumper on the pedal come off and the switch push rod goes right through the hole. Crazy.

yes, lucky you.. not sure i could do that anymore.. between arthritis and fibro.. just too painful... i miss the days that I could do pretty much what i wanted to do, when i wanted to do it. my experience with the pedal thing that lmdew describes had to do with cruise control on a manual, and the switch was on the other side (above, not below) for the clutch pedal, but same basic situation.. the switch was not being depressed properly because of a missing pad on the pedal shaft.

Oh man lucky me I get to contort my body and stick my head down there. Ok next chance I get. I’m bouncing around cars these days. Should be back in the 94 soon. Thanks guys !

what lmdew said.. ^^ the brake switch is not a micro switch at all.. it is actually kind of large in overall size.

ok, to close this one out... finally got around to changing the pressure sending unit (one wire sender, threaded into the block under the alternator) - got a new unit installed, wiped down the plug (old sending unit was leaking a bit of oil) plugged it back in, and no more flickering oil light.. it was a bad sending unit after all..

Nice hit you were able to read them! I haven’t seen any ABS or SRS codes on 2010+ Subarus except a couple wrecks I’ve rebuilt but that doesn’t count. So I’m not familiar. The car didn’t get rain or a spill or swimmers sitting in it like a recent previous poster did it? Their lights came on and went out with some copious drying. The new seats loaded with AC, sensors, bidets, and heaters and aren’t as forgiving of getting wet as older seats. Lol Next: Recalls or TSBs. Id call Subaru or check online and ask if there’s any related recalls or TSBs. I found a related TSB below, probably better to search for recalls using your VIN. Here’s the TSB.
