5k and redline is visited reg. for your jollies, or keeping up with traffic?

on normal driving my 97obw rarley even sees 3k

is "warming up" the car good or pointless? would you be fine driving the car "cold" if u didnt do jack rabbit starts until it got warm?

just to post a update on this my 97obw beat the crap out of his explorer!!, he got hung up on some minor looking mud, i crawled right over:D

i was changing the obw's oil yesterday (first time ever) and my dad said im not supposed to do it until 7500 ( i did it at 3k)...the owners maual does say 7500, but doesnt this seem too long? my honda's says every 10000!!!

ill be notified if something shorts or sumtin right?? my airbags wont just not go off will they?

ooooh man do those things feel good! on long trips u dont have to run the heater as much and dry up your eyes

exposed wires?? i dont see anything like that, i have a 97obw

my honda is a much quiter car and the owners manual says nothing about maintaing the timing chain

what advantage does a belt have over the chain? less friction?

the black wheel well plastic on my 97obw somehow came off when i was offroading..sheet metal is exposed but roads arent salted here, was this plastic thing important???

just cleaned out the engine, and ran it for about 20 miles. sometimes at low rpms now one of the belts or sumtin starts squeeking...did i take the lube off something when i washed the engine..??

whats so bad about it, it has much faster throttle responses that u can actually feel(MY 04 accord V6 coupe)

can i use this to clean the engine?, or will it eat into hoses and belts??

i use the reg. oil year round changing at every 7500...no problems even in new york winters

why swtich to a smaller engine?

just got done offroading with a ton of mud and water that entered into the engine.. for w/e reason my alarm doesnt beep as loud as it used to before i went offroading.. what did i do? the battery is fine( as the car starts with 1 try) i also drove home about 10 miles with all that mud n stuff in it, soo i think the overall car is fine...

feels normal.. what about grease lightning on the engine?? or would that eat into the hoses and things.. again what a freakin car!= red necks after i went through that mud puddle(wasent luck either, i went through it 4 times:banana:)

oooommmmggg went offroadin today and kept up with a lifted silverado..went through verrrryyy hardcore stuff in my stock 97obw. these mud trenches full of water that came up over my hood!!!! and it freakin made it through with little momentum~ then i looked over at the rednecks and all of their jaws were on the ground! i HIGHLY under estimated this car! tons of uphill mud climbs, and down hill flexing was done with ease! everyone with autos just manually put it into 1 and punch it going into a mud pit with tons of water. would have done muuuch better if i didnt have worn street tires( after thick mud filled them they lost a ton of traction) ok all of this said i had to go get a 8 buck car wash so my parents wouldent find out.. it cleaned most of it real good, but the engine compartment is covered red mud( from that awsome mud puddle that came over my hood)~ any tips on cleaning this.. also did my air filter and intake take in all of this water when it came up over my hood??~PS this black plastic thing also fell off the underbody of my car looked like a skidplate or sumtin.... was this thing important?

well this sunday im gonna take my parents car roadin. my buds got a stock 98' explorer and has been bashing my 97obw all week saying that theres no way it would keep up in the mud, hill climbs, and some trenches. I know it prob. wouldent outperform it, but how well would i keep up??
