Where's Waldo??? (Safe At Home!)
aaggh,it was just a whopping of powder, kind of like in the mountains.Nothing too scary.I think my city got around 10 inches but some drifts were incredible. There were actual bare spots because the snow was blown so hard and it was so dry and light.I heard it was a 40-1 ratio, whereas normal snow is a 10-1 ratio.i.e.,ten inches melts to one inch of water.Total gnarly fluff dude!Makes me want to take out an insurance policy and go shredding like the hero in my mind. GO PAT!!!!! ...and Go Pat's (NE Patriots!!!)

Where's Waldo??? (Safe At Home!)
Paul will have to send you package. The poor guy was so loaded when he left here I'm wondering if there's a trail of XT parts along his route to make room for all the other stuff that got .......stuffed. Sorry guys,I just could not fit any of the delicate items in there like the Brat bed trim,etc...... I donated a heap of XT parts to Pat and sent some 5 lug conv. parts to Witte, who's been waiting for 2 YEARS......but he was always cool with it.(just to clarify).I really really appreciate Pat taking this stuff and Qman handling it on the west coast to get to Witte. Pat,my thoughts are with you.I've tried to call a couple of times but I understand if you leave the phone off.Just PLEASE keep your head up and don't let getting close to home make you relaxed, that's when bad things happen.GET YOUR SLEEP and arrive home as you should, ready for a hug and kiss and that wonderful feeling of just making it home. We're all cheering for you.Keep us posted, please. Take care!!!! Paul

87SubaruGL- Help..Stalled..won't start, blocking drive
If this is a manual shift put it in 2nd gear and with the clutch out use the starter to make the car move. It's ok,even Subaru says so.From your post it seems that was a priority,to move the car. The fuel filter is located up where you were looking, near the driver's strut. They can be metalic and not plastic, depending on the source of the previous owner. The fuel pump is under the car up front of the rear crossmember, just under the rear passenger's seat.Follow the lines when you get the nerve to lay down on the ground, you'll see it. Where in CT are you?I can reccomend someone or help you out a little.I can not do repairs right now, sorry. Nice little powder snow huh?I haven't gone out yet but I was out last night having some fun before it got too crazy.Very light powder for us down here.

Where can I find a factory cat back exhaust for a 78 Brat
Well that sure looks to be the folks with the load. If you guys bid it'll only keep them from selling the lot cheap. They sure are nice to look at though.

Where can I find a factory cat back exhaust for a 78 Brat
Another board member (Todd) and I are contemplating buying a load of such exhaust parts and entire systems. Price for the rear section would probably be under $80.An entire system, hopefully under $200,all three pieces-Y pipe,mid-can,and the lengthy exhaust/muffler section. There's no promises here, but I'm fairly close in location to the source,so it's extremely tempting to take the lot off his hands. Todd and I are dedicated to the 70's Subarus and really help the others who are into keeping them going. We'll do the best we can on price, within reason.

Where's Waldo??? (Safe At Home!)
I happened to be in phone contact with the boys when they were loading Pat's truck up.Word was that it was tight and that the fenders wouldn't be anything I'd miss too much. If you can help me out what I really really really need,as in NEED,are a driver's side yellow fender for a 1984 4WD Wagon, gray fenders for my '78 4WD wagon,a black carpet for the same '78,and a list of things to come for my '73 coupe. Thanks for any help. Sorry to hijack. So,Pat,you doing OK?

Where's Waldo??? (Safe At Home!)
Pat should be out of Abbottstownvilleburgton PA and on his way to oHIo. It was a quiet arrival, just me there to greet him.No film crew,no flashbulbs going off,no confetti.... It was good and cold,if I can put those two words together so when we went to rinse the car off and wash my wife's car everything was freezing up. Got back and Subafreak Jesse was there. Another hero enters the scene. He and I scurried like mice getting all the stuff out of the front on my place so we could fit the car it.I insisted Pat chill out and not help, but he did some.Pat got the rig undone and we rolled it off the dolly and up into the shop.Later Jesse and Pat helped put stuff back in with Jesse seemingly making 2 or 3 trips to my one!Huge help!!!Thanks Jesse!! I'll be back later.all's well on this end, talked to Pat at 4:30 and he was in Abbotts......something.

att- northwet or his stops
Thanks EVERYBODY!!!!! It's been a very tiring couple of days.Long hours,no sleep, but it was all worth it.I'm well on the road to recovery with the needless parts accumulation. So,naturally there'll be several of those parts needed soon. I got Pat a good hot meal at the diner and hooked him up with a "luxury suite" at the motel across the street which just happens to back up to the truck stop.Hopefully those deisels don't make unrest for our hero. It was really great to finally just sit the heck down and relax.Had great conversation with the man.A great guy and a hell of a driver!!Good sense of sarcasm so he fits right in here. I'll have much more smoke to blow northward inot the void when my brain settles a little.Don't expect me to be my abnormal self for a few days.I'm going to be wrenched tomorrow.Good thing, the big boss has gone for his 6 week vacation,so it'll be much less stressful, kinf of high school shop-like. Oh,the coupe, she's a little ratty from the years but a solid specimen to start with.I'm going to explore the restoration first, but most likely I'll have to go with the later year parts to make it closer to a solid, well sealed car. Many thanks to Pat in Moxee!!!!He'll be included in the smoke blowing.

Last call!!!!!!! Get you order in by tonight.Confirm,confirm,confirm.....please. I don't have the red EA82 hood that I thought I did, sorry. There's a slim chance it's in there buried but I really looked and didn't see it.I think someone got it this summer. :-\ Nobody needs to pay now,and perhaps not even pay at all, depending on the item. Where's Waldo??? (Safe At Home!)
Well,I didn't get out last night.....and I got up a little sluggish today.....heading up to bust up the joint today.Getting help from Connie, later on Dave and Melis....we'll see who else can stop by. I should have the parking space open by this evening.Pat,after all this I sure as hell aren't going to play the ball any other way than the way you make it bounce my friend. You do as you must,or as you wish and I will comply. If I'm not ready that's my tough beans. I'll have the phone on all day/night. To the locals, you know the place, stop on down today or tomorrow. If he gets there tonight there won't be a parade or fireworks display but there'll be a good time for sure. To everyone,I may need to run home for dinner with the family. My wife should stop by with the kids and her mom today and we'll decide what the plans are acording to Pat's location,etc.etc. Gotta go make some room for baby!!!!
