I caught just a few raindrops on the way home, around 1:20.Worked out just right.THANKS guys!!!! Dave and the candle crack dealer stayed and hooked me up with some serious candle and soap,yo!....oh and Dave and Melis helped by bringing stuff in and re-stacking.....I have an aisle!!!!!!!! Thanks guys part II !!!! Thanks Mary! Nice to meet you and Tim.

OK so you be sure to come down,Mary and I'll be sure to meet you there, rain or moonglow. It's having a herd of folks in a place with absolutley no floorspace right now with rain outside that I'm worried about. So listen up folks, the rest of you call or if you travel a long way I garuntee I'll take the time for you. Some folks might have to wait out in their cars if it's raining.I just don't have the floorspace.I really need good weather to open the o/h door and take crap out so we can set up the band and dance the night away. Geez,it'll be like a freakin drive in with curb service. You lucky S.O.B.'s get your Subaru parts brought out to your car!!!There's just no sense to having folks attempt to wade through. Yikes, gotta sleep, later.

Thanks for all the efforts behind the scene.Mods, that goes for you guys as well. Hope you guys had a great day. Shawn,I got the dash cover, thanks again. oh,I'm wearing my favorite t-shirt today.Native Americans pictured, saying around pic says "Homeland Security""Fighting Terrorism Since 1492". Cheers!

I need a Gen-1 brat tailight
moosens replied to maximumBRAT's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Which side oh youthful offender? I just got a Gen I for parting out and I know one of the tail lights was excellent. The other was cracked but functional. -
Saturday night seems like a go for a little gathering. You folks who can't make it don't worry. You can still make it up sometime but don't wait too long.At this point I could find myself closing up soon.I only need to leave 30 days notice so when we close on our house we'll be wrapping up the shop.Depending on the market and what's worth jumping into in the middle of winter,it might not happen untill spring but I really hope it doesn't drag out that long. OK,so let's review.Poor working class dog and his family, loveable guy ,moving soon, needs the extra dough and REALLY could use the extra friends to help out.....at least with the workshop/Subaru stuff. I'm just a couple, maybe few hundred bucks away from getting my '73 tranportation funds together. If folks could swing by and get some stuff,at great prices I might add,it'd help the cause.

The Vintage positive vibe grows from the USMB
moosens replied to moosens's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Let's hope there's never a vintage car odometer checkpoint in the future.Mine is just barely used these days but the trip to Carlsile alone eats a good chunk of the allowed mileage....if I were to pay attention to that. So,once the model year has hit the showrooms it's considered 25 years old?Or do you have to wait untill the year turns?I never looked into that, but I'd expect to get an '80 registered as classic after September/October of this year. -

Pardon my lack of spellcheck on "commaradety"/whatever...where the heck did I pull that one from ??? Yup,it's 25 years here and you get away with freakin murder. When my '78 roars into Carlisle this year it'll likely have straightpipes. At the very least I'll have the pipes for non-show.Since I now own most of the original exhaust system new I might get purist about it and show the car as it left the showroom. Wanted:1977-1980 Brat in CT Also wanted:Anything 25 years or older that gets over 30mpg. -
Hey you 80's owners......you feeling it yet? Your cars are approaching or turning into vintage.....catch the buzz man, you'll love it. As for us 70's folks, the numbers are growing and most of the new members are helpful and genuinely concerned for each others rides.Of course there's a couple of snotballs out there too but we're just going to leave them be as they're young and on thier own path to "greatness". I had another cool time yesterday with another vintage, yet all around,Subaru enthusiast.Nice little day trip, decent little Gen I Brat retrieved....all part of the fun and commeradity that stems from this board. The fact that several New Englanders are now sporting vintage Subarus is very satisfying to say the least. Perhaps its a case of "misery loves company" but the friendships are genuine here. There's no showy types,no "outspenders",just a healthy polulation, very communal.Hopefully we can all party together a little at Carlisle or even a Holiday Classic at my place before the doors are closed for good. Thanks to Subarufreak for the great day and excellent driving!!!!!Like I was behind the wheel, gotta love it. Cheers!

Honored as well.Gosh,to have all my 70's Subaru experiences in clear vision.......now that's a task! Just get 'em,worry about particulars later. Most of the planet doesn't know squat about these little beasties.I'd like to see some muscle car freak come over and tell me all about GL/DL features of the 70's.......yeah,right.But noetheless we should get as detailed an account as possible and archive the details since WE are the vintage Subaru Heads of State. :-p

I wish more people were interested in the PA yard run we were going to do,once upon a time. I'm so busy there's no way I can swing it now.See you in the spring! -
Right Skip, and then the dealers also placed orders for more if they cared to. So,as you may guess, there's probably a few more than 50 out there,or were out there. The dealer in CT that I know has at least one brown one left in his loft.He also told me that he'd sold off at least 4 others that he had before I hit the show.At this point I'd expect the brown one to show up on eBay soon....just a feeling, nothing positive. I'd go for a complete one now if the price was right. But I just don't have time for any projects involving basket cases right now. Good luck,Ken.I've been told that a common mfg. cart fits under there.Nothing too complicated or specialty built.

hahaha,I've got a thing for these white wagons and refridgerators too. Why is it that the newest CT member has a sticker and the original CT member doesn't? I'll have to work on that. Congrats,Connie! -
The 83 Coupe is Haunting me
moosens replied to Bucky92's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Sorry Connie. :-\ -
Still bumping........maybe I'll buy a heap of food and you nice folks can come by and help me finish a couple of projects.....just a thought. Plenty of free stuff too. I need to finish my turbo wagon and a few small jobs on any of the other cars. The '78 needs a coolant change and oil change. The '84 needs an oil change and maybe a tune up.Needs belts changed.Needs exhaust shrouds silenced.Probably a short list to go along with it. Turbo wagon needs to be buttoned up from the tranny swap and engine reseal. Touring wagon could use some help.......Tom sawyer Party anyone??? I'll score pizza,Chinese,drive-in,whatever it takes.I know a lot of you would like to come by but can't so just send money. Seriously, please consider lending a hand. It's probably the last gathering at the joint.

Brian, what ever happened to the one that got impounded when the driver was drunk....or something like that?? Man,I'd spend the money on transport for that baby if it's solid underside. But I don't expect A-you to let it go and B-me to have time, space, and extra dough to be tossing into an object right now. Good luck with it.Heck, just let it sit.In a year or so I'll be ready for it. I've got a 1400 engine here, but nothing 1300.I do have some 1300 engine internals from an eBay deal.Valves,seals,etc.... Send some pics of the interior, etc. if you have some time.Gosh,I have such memories of the '73's and '74's.Fading though.Need a refresher course.

Hopefully they got some kind of payment, who knows, sometimes that happens.A kid Paypal's the money but doesn't have the extra dough to get it back...or doesn't have the balls to bring it home....or.....what I'm getting at is maybe the seller will be satisfied with less if you can get that wad of cash in their hands. Good luck Connie! This weekend is shot for any roadtrip south.Going to Maine on Saturday.Sunday is doubtful. Go for it.Make a bid AND contact the seller. You know the deal.I don't have to tell you how to handle this. You go girl. Don't bid if things are so way tight that it'll take away meals.Mac 'n cheese is no way to live. -
