  1. It Does clear up after I turn it off for a bit "sometimes", Now im having troubles starting as well just not getting fuel.
  2. Seems to be fine for the moment, i'll check the rear again, last time got a lil gassy.
  3. Just re did plugs, wires, coil, cap rotor, both fuel filters less than 2 weeks ago. gonna go pick up some gas drier we'll see it is quite moist here.
  4. Well thought I had solved the problem with vacuum hose leak, this morning stumbling on the highway again. Hose is fine not the issue I am wondering if it might be the ethanol they start adding to the gas here in oregon in the winter? If not that, something is up with fuel delivery.
  5. Its basically like im driving and all of a sudden the fuel is getting choked off or something is stuck and wont come out.
  6. I dont have to do emissions anyway so it doesnt really matter, i heard sometimes it works better without one maybe i'll just ditch it.
  7. Was having a problem with loss of power at freeway speeds an hills and occasionally car would die when coming to a stop afterwards, dash would also display EGR when this happend. Went home for the holidays, changed plugs, wires, cap-rotor, coil, both fuel filters. Car ran great, drove back down to oregon hauling rump roast no stumbles. This morning car started doing the same old thing again??? im guessing bad pcv or egr, or fuel pump dying??? Anyone else have had similar issues. Looks like a vacuum leak for now we'll see what happens.
  8. im pretty sure the new ford trucks don't have projectors like an audi beamer acura etc.
  9. ya its not totally professional oem, hey its an 86 subaru, better than halogen and lame cool blues or whatever. I have audi ballasts and piaa bulbs and will be hooking it all up this weekend. it should be nice clear white purple and not blue with the kelvin rating i have trying to get as far away from blue as possible. i was beat u were before me.
  10. My bosch headlights were $100, only decent interchangeable I could find for the subey. My friend work for an auto accessory place so I am getting the whole HID kit for 150. HID's are expensive but the hatch will be even more one of a kind. Also thinking about getting some IPF rally lights and lighting up the world.
  11. I am making a claim to have the first ea81 to have HID conversion on the old 86 hatch. Just picked up bosch interchangeable lenses and waiting for my ballast system in the mail and then let there be light! If anyone has donethis already post it up. Will have pics soon as I get them.
  12. Ya I went to les scwab and had them do it to 150 but who knows Ive never trusted them.
  13. I recently moved down here to Oregon, Im located about 25 min NW of salem. I just replaced passenger side axle and the driver side is gone bad now. On my trip home last nite I had some bad front end shaking(real bad) on the new and bad side. The axle is a bow wow axle and I also have another one. I know something is off with the new one. If someone a little more suby guru than me could help me out, I have no tools here and its my only source of transportation. Help will be rewarded Thanks Kyle
  14. Oh Yeah and the axle bolt and castle nut were hand tightend you could spin it with your finger.
  15. Well my roomate took lewy to his shop yesterday and thankfully made it there. Both axles are worn smooth on the connnection to the hub and the wheel bearings are toast. It is also time for some new brake pads.
  16. Ok so I been rwdriving it for a while now and I'm not sure that its the axles. Here are some symptons: Front end noise kinda sounds like I have swampers loudening with speed Noise goes away when I push on the brakes Stronger rubbing on corners and drifts a little Larger turning radius

  18. So If its the axle and I try the e-brake It should't be turning. If its the hub? It seemed to me when it first messed up the axle was turning but the wheel wasn't
  19. You mean set the e brake and try to go forward, how can you tell its the hub and not the axle?
  20. well I snooped around and the outer axle seems fine, on the inside of the boot towards the engines is where it moves. My right axle is torn bad like yours was.
  21. so your driving around with rear wheel drive now with no front? the outer you mean from the boot to the wheel.
  22. Today I was driving and a sudden clunk arose such a clatter from the front left end. Then It knocked for a bit and I pulled over to inspect and didn't really see anything, cv boot stil intact. When I tried to go on again my left tire didnt move and the axle made the worst noise I think an axle can make and just spun. So I tried reverse and It did the same. I tried 4 hi and It didn't make noise so I drove back to my house, so I'm pretty that the suby is RWD right now and was wondering If this has happend to anyone else? Can you drive like that? Will the transfercase blow?
