  1. In an earlier ad, he mentioned it needed a clutch cable, but turned out to be the clutch. So, I'd ask him about that. For $500 though, and even if you need to put in a clutch and a cable, not a bad deal. It'd give you a chance to put in an XT6 clutch, pp, and flywheel
  2. I sense a drifting wagon. Look at the $500 wagon. Clutch cables really aren't all that difficult compared to what you're planning to do.
  3. What's the air variator cable?
  4. $675, needs transmission work: http://denver.craigslist.org/car/176897961.html $850, http://denver.craigslist.org/car/171680924.html $500, needs clutch or something: http://denver.craigslist.org/car/171413125.html Craigslist FTW!
  5. DLs have the four headlight front end. However there were no turbo DLs. So, you'd have to switch the headlights.

I would say a dual battery setup wouldn't help a whole lot while running. The alternator would help more.

http://www.fridge-and-solar.net/dual_bat.htm That may help. I hope you have a good alternator.
  8. It should fit anything that has the same diameter and threads as an EA82 oil filter, so I'd assume ER27. It would also fit the Nissans/Inifinitis that share the same filter.
  9. I'll never get anything through Capital One because of that now! That is just, angering!
  10. Not all GL-10s are Turbos, but most are. For a good running GL-10 in good shape, I'd say $800-$1000. Take off for the tune-up and axle.
  11. Not just TDC, but when that cylinder is in its compression stroke. I'd still prefer jamming something into like the flex plate or flywheel to hold it still.
  12. Could be a clog in the radiator, or even a clog somewhere in the block.
  13. Winter & Camping Monster. I'll definitely take that offer. You can have my old wheels. 185k
  14. Flex-A-Lite sells one. Its the last item on: http://performance.thepartsbin.com/basket.php?makeid=31&modelid=501&year=1988&partid=536&brandid=1541
  15. Only single port exhaust on the 80s soobs. The MPFI and Turbo heads have dual port intakes, but not dual port exhaust.
  16. This would be better off in the For Sale section in the Market Place...
  17. I bought a 1988 GL Wagon, SPFI, 5spd, 4WD D/R today for $200. More Pictures Here... Its in pretty decent shape. The hatch is a bit dented, there's been some body work on the front left corner. Engine is in great shape. Only pressing issues I've found is that the rear tires are almost bald, and a boot on the front p/s axle is torn. Not too shabby for $200 I'll say.
  18. What year is it? Someone may be able to scan you a page from their Factory Service Manual.
  19. I don't think EA82 radiators are grounded, because many have plastic tanks. At least mine isn't grounded. The thermoswitch has two leads on it instead of the one on EA81. This means the thermoswitch completes a circuit instead of grounding it.
  20. This would be more appropriate in the retrofitting forum. There is also lots of info there.
  21. Actually, ATF runs at a very high pressure compared to engine oil. Its just that ATF is also much thinner.
  22. There should be a color code somewhere on the body. Mine's on the front of the radiator support. http://www.paintscratch.com/colALL.htm - shows the locations of the color code. You can also look on their website somewhere and find a listing of all color codes for your model's year.
