  1. It's too bad there isn't a boot to wrap around a carb...I'd go for that. I'm not going to be jumping my soob any more but will go to the dunes for sure. That sounds like it might work...Next time I go to the dunes I'll try one or both of these. Thanks
  2. I've done this with my hatch on the Oregon Dunes in Florence and at Winchester Bay dunes but had a problem the second time with sand getting in the carb linkage and causing it to stick near full throttle. Is there anything that can be done to prevent the sticking?
  3. I've got one from my '83 GL parts wagon I thought I'd put it on my '86 hatch but the brackets don't match for my hatch....but I've seen them on hatches like mine around here. might consider parting with mine....unless I figure a way to get it to work on mine first.
  4. None that I've found and I've been all over that car. over all it's pretty strait except for the messed up hood thanks to me not taking it outta gear or putting the e-brake on. was shopwing a friend something and instead of turning the key to turn it over I jumped the starter with a screw driver and it took off about 10 feet in 1st gear right into his dad's dump truck and wedged under his bumper...but have another hood already.
  5. My soob hatch starts smooth in the {{{cold}}} and the heater works great but my '89 honda civic hatchback heater works SOOOO much better.
  6. I had a rabbit and think they are pretty much unstoppable...but I LOVE my soob...still wouldn't mind subifying a rabbit with complete drive train/running gear of a soob.
  7. I've got 2, 4x4, 4 speed soobs...an '86 hatch and an '83 parts wagon...I would love to have a 5 speed for my hatch. thinking about parting out the wagon...will see.:-\
  8. Thanks...I'll get out and take a look on the next day it isn't raining...kinda in the process of lifting my soob too.
  9. Can anyone tell me the difference please...confused:confused: -Are these engines only in certain cars...I'm hearing alot about these and the XT6 -The main reason I'm asking is cause I have a complete drive train, front to back. Trying to figure out what I can do with it.
