  1. Seems like there would be an after market one and I'm really suprised Jeep didn't come out with one at some time.:-\
  2. Did Subaru ever put a guage in for tilt...side/side/front/back??? If so what year's makes?? If not I've heard of people putting them in thier car but not sure what they got them outta. Would be cool as hell to put one in my '89 Hatch!!
  3. I've been trying to figure out a way to fasten a set of 2" round 3/16" thick tube to the bottom sort of like nerf bar sliders but up really close to the body. I've damaged the under side under the doors before pushing it up to touch the bottom of the doors. really would prefer to not do that to my '86 Hatch.
  4. I'm also interested in this but didn't realize there was a manual...would be helpful...I'm tired of seat covers, they never fit right so they look really good and you can always tell when someone has one on....especially on the Subaru and Honda seats...besides would be nice to have matching front and rear seats agian....lol
  5. These would look awsome on my '89 Honda Civic Hatchback...oh yeah!!
  6. I towed my '83 d/l wagon and my '86 d/l hatch on a tow dolly as is with no problems, just kept it at the speed limit.
  7. I gotta say even that is an under statementI'm finished with the Power Mirror Conversion.....And it's my opinion that anyone can do it in just a few hours time at most. It's plug-n-play all the wiring under the dash is already there just need the wire in the door and plug it in, thread it thru the door, hook it up to the mirror. I wish I had done it before but I kinda let the thought of the wiring intimidate me into putting it off.
  8. Hotdog...Welcome to the extended Subaru family and to USMB. Hope your Subaru adventures are as good as mine have been.
  9. Born and raised in Oregon, like to travel when I can and moved down there for a gal and it didn't work out so moved back here. Plus wasn't much work down in Merced...seems like a kinda dead end town but the weather is perfect there.
  10. I used to live in Merced....LOVED it down there sure wish I would have had my soob back then....can just imagine the fun I could have had:brow:
  11. DAMN!!!! Was planning to put a cage in my Honda Hatch but think I'm going to put one in my Subaru first then the Honda......Glad everyone was alright...very good idea to check the trail ahead especially when you can't see it from the car.
  12. I strung new wire from dash to doors for new speakers so I know what a pain in the arse it is. Everything seems like it's going to line up right. Think I'm going to go out and do that today...I'll let ya know how it goes.
  13. John, I don't see the BEAST page...??? *EDIT* Just noticed the date so maybe it's not there anymore.
  14. Might want to re-read the subject of this thread...it's not about electric windows at all...don't know where you came up with that
  15. My donar car has power windows, it's an ea81 wagon and mine is a ea81 hatchback...was going to convert my windows to electric too but can't use the donar motors...too weak. guess I need to take a look in the doors but why do I need the window track and motor??
  16. How hard would it be to convert my manual mirrors to power mirrors??
  17. Anyone ever go wheelin' around the Eugene area...never see anyone post it here if so....Don't really know too many places around here but I know that there has to be alot.
  18. Is there a web site for the Bandit buggies??? If so can someone please post it...I'm very interested.
  19. http://www.p3racing.net/vw/rabbit/REAR.JPG http://www.p3racing.net/vw/rabbit/Rabbit0001.jpg "The frame of the cj5 had to be stretched 10" and the firewall cut back 8"... other than problems with the steering column lining up right there really wasn't much work..."
  20. If I can find a picture of the 4x4 Rabbit that inspired me I'll post it here...looks pretty cool.
  21. Damn...don't think I'll have my lift done by then and then not sure if funding would allow it unless the people buying my horse get it together before then. Definatly going to keep an eye out for other runs up there, I used to live near St Helens...lots of awsome off roading up there. If I don't make it up there have fun for me too.
  22. Both my cars have EA81s...hope I can find something to put the second engine, 4 speed trans, and complete running gear in. If I can't find another Subaru then I got my eyes on a VW Rabbit I'd like to try a conversion on....guess if push comes to shove then I might sell the extra but don't really want to do that unless have to.
  23. Forgot to mention that I use Royal Purple high performance 100% synthetic oil in my 89 Honda Civic hatchback that I'm converting to raceautocross and up at Portland International Raceway(PIR).' *edit* and also used it in a '01 Ford Focus and in both card noticed a definate horse power gain. I'm thinking about using the Water Watter in my '89 Subaru GL Hatchbackbecouse it does seem to get a little hot when it just idles for a little while...not sure if that's notmal but my Honda did that when I first got it too.
  24. -Wondering what oil anyone uses; Normal oil or High performance oil (example: Royal Purple High Performance Motor Oil)? -Does anyone used Red Line Water Wetter Cooling System Treatment?
