Hi, First off thank all of you for your help throught the years. Unfortunaletly I just moved to Denver from Lake Tahoe. I Live in an apartment without a garage and on street parking. So now I will have to pay some one to do maintenence on my 97 outback. SO if anyone has any suggestions of a place in Denver that would be great. Thanks

thanks for the advice. for some reason though i took the release cylinder off and now i can't bolt it back on. the piston rod won't go back into the little nook in the throw rod. i can move the rod back and fourth but it doesn't go back far enough. and i can't push the piston in any farther. any one have any ideas or even know what i am talking about. it doesn't matter if the clutch is in or out

ok 97 obw 198000mi. the other day my clutch stuck to the floor. got under the hood and noticed the hose was split. Now i don't no which one is the release cylinder and which one the master is but it was the hose that went from a cylinder on top (the one that has a rod with a nipple on it that pushes the clutch back out) to the lower cylinder by the bottom of the engine. ok anyways i put a new hose on and bled the system but now the clutch is really hard to push and still doesn't come back up. i pulled the i am guessing the release cylinder off ( the one with the rod) and nowi cant get it back in. its like the rod is to long and i can't get it into the part that pushes the clutch (throw rod)sorry this might not make any sense but if it does can anyone help. i need to get to work in the morning thanks jake

ok o i have a 97 subaru outback. 195000miles. last year had to rebuild the engine do to a timing belt pulley failure. so unfortunatley i used aftermarket parts. all the seals failed and leaked oil except rear main. so i took it to a shop and paid a lot of money to fix seals. cam seals and valve covers (NOT REAR MAIN THOUGH). now i still have oil leaks which is do to my new headgaskets failing. (i put them in and they were aftermarket) THey are leaking a little bit out of the top. i seriously have no money. any ghetto ideas. the car smokes after i drive 10 min and smells and is really annoying. i suppose i could live with it but... can i put that (what do you call it) liquid that turn to kind of a metal stuff on it? any oil leak stuff work. it is those layered metal headgaskets i can't afford to fix it and won't sell it to anyone in that condition. help jake

ok 97 outback, 193000mi and new clutch so i get this metalic noise at about 3500rpm or sometimes when i down shift. when i got the car i put a new clutch in so i don't know if the sound was happening before that. possibly exhaust heat shields? ( i am hoping) it scares me a bit cause i have already put tons of money into the car. any ideas from anybody? or any similar stories thanks jake

ok 97 obw i was looking under the steering wheel under the dash and noticed two green electrical plugs that weren't plugged into each other. i didn't want to plug them together in fear that the airbag might deploy. anyone know what they might be and know if i can and should plug them together thanks

yeah i have held it for 40 seconds, i am pretty sure it is the right button. it is right behind the hood release. iterestingly i have to push that button in to start the car aswell. does that make any sense? would there be another button. also i have a few fuses that are not in the fuse box. would they have anything to do with it? thanks

Do Not Use Aftermarket Parts. Aftermarket Timing Belts Are A Half Tooth To Long. I Made The Mistake. You Will Get Numerous Cylinder Misfire Codes. I Put A Oem One On And Now Feel Like I Am Driving A New Car. Also All The Aftermarket Seals I Put In Leaked. Thats Why I Was In There And And Replaced The Tb Jake
