thanks for the info. from what i seen write else where i have a few options to go with. mainly what i an looking for is greond clearnce. i do a lot trail making or driving down trails that you shouldn't drive a cars on because they are atv trails. they just hate it when they come flying down the trail find my wagon sitting taking up the hole trail or come a roubd the coener and here i am coming at them. anyway there were a couple spots were if i only a couple inches of height i wouldn't scrape. but thanks for answering

cool i will have to look into that. if i was to replace the springs with heavier springs and put in the spacers, what springs would you sujest

cool but i am trying ri rase the drive train up. an am thinking about putting heavier springs on to give it little more lift but but sure kind of springs to use. i am hoping to get at least 2-3 inches. i know it posible to do. and would i have to replace the shocks doing this? but thanks for the info.

for a stock 88gl wagon what is the biggest wheels and tires i can put on with out have a lot of work to the car?

so what would i use to bring it up about 3 inches in the front and back with out having to to do a lift? although i do want to do that down the road to.

its an 1988 subaru Gl 1.8lt 5spd d/r.

for some reason my defroster will not kick on. the heat comes on but it just blows out the vents. had been doing this for about 3 days now. anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

supose i should take it down and clean all the mud oil and grease off it so i can find it thanks guys

how do i tell which moter i have for sure? is it post somewhere in the car? all i have found so far is that its a 1.8 lt

i think you should but it. have an 88 Gl with 5sp dual range. ihave had a few problems with it but was able to fix easily and good gas milage. i think it would be worth yout money to buy it.

i have had my 88 GL wagon with 5 speed daul range. that is all stock up to 115 to 120. and i didn't have the rpm's in the red either was pushing around 6 and half to 7. i have to to the floor but still gaining speed but ran out of raod and had to slow down. abd the was mostly flad with a up and down in it. and right now i am putting a a super coil and twin spark spark plugs in with with racing wires. all that is suppst give me like 10 or so more horses under the hood.

i have check the plug and wire, fuel filter, i agoing to check the rotor later today. and i know the timing is good i just had the timing belt and tentioners and water pump replaced. i will let ya know more after i do that.

i have a 88 GL wagon with the 1.8lt with the fuel injection thottle body. 5 speed dual ranch tranny. anyway my problem is in 2nd and 3rd grear when i get on it like pulling out on to a street i car will lug like getting to much gas or air or not enough. i know its not the clutch because this happens i have already release the clutch. anyway do any of you have any idea what might cause this. i just down loaded the a manual from here and i couldn't find anything in about what would really cause this problem. also when its quite in my car i can hear the fuel pump running from the driver seat. it sounds really load. it that normal? things i have done to try and fix the problem clean air senor in air intake to carb. clean the te carb with carb cleaner. put a hole can through it. not all at once. would spray some in run the motor and then spray some more. check all the vamum hoses and for leaks arounf the base. any info would nice thanks.

go to your logal parts store and ask if they have metallic seal. i have use it before to stop coolant leaks. it can also be use to fix crack block and heads. it is suppost to be a perment fix but only time will tel that. i just put it in my sumie a couple weeks ago and it stop the leak with in a couple minutes. and i haven't had a leak since.
