  1. does your ea81 sound like this:lol: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1787031999617693151&q=subaru sorry if it is a repost
  2. I know I can get one but I want to make sure that others can get one too.
  3. here it is. I can e-mail you a larger pic if you post your email address
  4. There might be a source where you can get one of these. I will post info once I get all of the info needed. All I can tell you is that I was told that they came off of a japan truck with a ea81. Let the fun begin:burnout:
  5. This should almost be a sticky. My other car is a cobb stage II (280hp) wrx. And the only thing you learn about shifting is rev matching. I can not wait to drive my brat around 5000rpm. Thanks for the info..
  6. get on edmunds.com and print off the fair market value for the car minus the wear and that will shut him up.
  7. Well then this may sound nuts.. I got off the phone with stratuss (Mykal) today. I was talking to him about the dual carb setup he wants to offer me as well as info about the cam. Any who.. He deckes his at .05 to get a 9:1 comp roughly he does not how ever use any thing but the ea81 pistons. He said I would have to redrill the intake. He also said if I wanted to I could mail them to him (my heads) and for $250.00pr a head he would deck them and give them a three angle job. I asked him is .05 alot and he said no.. that it works fine as long as you have a good coolant setup and that he builds these all the time.
  8. This is for a EA81 motor I have been reading through a few post and using the search fuction and have got mixed results so I figured I would just ask. How much have you shaved (decked) off your heads? And why did you pick that amount? I know if you take off too much you can not get your itake to fit. Soo lets hear it.
  9. I dont know about the deflector but that is one clean looking brat!! What rims are you useing
  10. This stuff is pretty amazing you dont need to spray on a top coat of it to seal it either. Pluss it requires very little pre prep. http://www.rustbullet.com/Comparison/ProdComp.htm if you want side by side comparisons with por-15 click on the brochure on the right corner. a cool right up with some nice pics http://www.coloradok5.com/rustbulletreview.shtml Ok sorry for the hi-jack and the spaming.. but I think it is pretty cool.
  11. I plan to paint my whole brat with rust bullet top to bottom then do a flat black finish.. on top of that I am going to herculiner the bed and then pull out the interior and herculiner most of that.. I am going for that mad max look.
  12. HEY mic not to rub salt in to the wound but the brat I bought off you. Starts with just a flick of the wrist..ha..ha..ha:lol:
  13. not to sound ungreat full but It would probbaly help if it was pics of the manifold off the block or pics with out all the pcv/egr spagehti on it.. do you know what I mean vern?
  14. Well I got to be pretty honest with you I am realativly new to this whole carbed subara thing. I guess it is becuase I own a wrx too. Any ways one of the vendors on wrxfanatics.com offers extrude honeing and some gasket matching for wrx intakes for about 200 dollars. I am trying to get a price on how much it would cost to get the same work done on a ea82 intake but he needs more pics and since I am still trying to soruce that part I dont have one to give him pics of. So I need some close pics of a ea82 intake to send him so if you got some plz post them or send me a pm with the pics. Thanks.
  15. That is pretty close. The main reason is that rather then rebuild the wheel wail I rather just cover them whith fender flares.
  16. Well my brat is a 87 soo that would be the 2nd gen?... as a side note what year was the last 1st gen made?? oh where can I find the samuri flare kit?
  17. ok.. my brat does not really have toooo much rust around the fender wail but rather then repairing and rebuilding the wails I am thinking about sniping back the wails a bit and puting in fender flares. So my quesiton is has any one got pictures of there fender flares. I am thinking I am going to be using a j c whitney for the parts.
  18. I was thinking more along the lines of this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/32-36-DGEC-NEW-JEEP-REPLACEMENT-CARBURETOR_W0QQitemZ8038792452QQcategoryZ33550QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem but I still think I am going to be buying some ones..hint..hint 600cfm setup and put the 600cfm on my truck and use the adpater plate he has to mount a 390 cfm holley 4 barrel on my ea81 once I am done haveing it reworked.
  19. Turbone: the one you are talking about says dgev..DGEV not DGEC.. do yo see what I mean?
  20. well according to weberparts direcet it is NOT a solex.. now I just need to find the diffrances between the the DGV DGEC:confused:
  21. Yeah but none of them are in a 32/36 just a 34 DGEC = solex...
  22. 32/36 DGEC Ok I have done my search and all I can find on this carb is that a 34 DGEC is a solex.. Is this one too??
  23. yeah I know you would have to make a mounting plate for it. But has any tried to use one of these?? They seem cheap to find.
