Yea kingbobdole said it was eyesores old hatch. It does have the LED lights. They are a bit worn out now.. I may replace them. There is a lot that needs to be replaced in this thing. The previous owner didnt do much of anything to keep her in good shape. -

It defnitly is... Even though i live my WRX, I really loved my 87 GL more. If i could find one that clean again I would buy it. -
Hello everyone! So I am a old time member been a member since i was 16 or 17, now i am 22 so about 6 years or so. Some of you know me and some I am sure have no clue. I thought i would post up and show everyone what i have been up to in the last 6 years. So my very first subaru was this awesome 87 Gl wagon, its what got me in to subarus and what has caused the madness. I spent waayyy to much money on this thing, but loved it and dot regret it at all. Pics I then sold it to some kid who wrecked all of its beauty. but I moved on... I then went to the dark side and got a toyota for wheeling fun! Pics I got really tired of the toyota even though i had lees problems with it then my subaru haha. I moved to Colorado in this thing, but then i drove back to WA in order to pick up this beautiful 86' RX sedan with a WRX turbo and intercooler. This was great and all until a person at a party got really drunk and slammed his head in to it. which created a huge dent. I then slowly got tired of it as well... I had a better job so it was time to upgrade... 02 WRX with EJ22T Closed deck block and WRX heads. Wiesco pistons, eagle rods, arp headstuds, full port job, Vf48 putting down 310WHP and 360 Tq Putting the 2.2 in: I still have this sexy wagon and love it. I love it so much in fact that I decided i shouldnt drive it in the winter. So I went and picked up my new toy today! (its the one on the left) Plans: Took of that silly home depot made hood scoop and getting new hood for it. Got new door for it since the old was was rusted out. took the third light out. Getting new lights for it. Roof rack with off road lights and throw the spare tire up there Rino line the back of it. Paint it something silly and awesome. cover it in +hp making stickers. BIGGER tires! yea! wider and taller Eventually way down the road it needs to go EJ powered. Currently its needing a new transmission, missing third gear.. Its very interesting to drive.

Also, you are very fortunate to live in oregon, i call it subie capitol. There are a lot more old school subie lovers out in the NW then anywhere else in the US. I use to live there and one thing i miss are the resources and readily available parts...

SJR is where you need to look. The unfortunate thing is that there is not exactly a huge market out there for wanting to lift a 500.00 dollar Subaru, most of us are deemed "weirdos" by our peers therefore if you are wanting to have someone do it you may need to travel a bit or start hanging out with other subie folk that will be willing to help you out. You cant just walk in to any 4x4 shop and say "hey do you sell and instal lift kits for my subie?" Good luck though man. Do some research and learn. Google: SJR+Subaru and they are the first link.

Sorry but I have to dissagree, I know first hand that the best oil is clean oil even if it is synthetic. I believe it was Chrysler that tried to say oil intervals were every 10,000miles with there synthetic and now they face a lot of law suits for peoples engines blowing up for dirty oil. I change my oil every 2500 miles with dino oil and every 3500-4000 with synthetic. Think about the diffrence your car feels when you do an oil change... Obviously that mean something.

I dont mean to be a wongleflute but dude seriously??? Do a search. There are a lot of great vendors on here that sell lift kits.

I also am intrested on what they fit? Ea81? Waiting for pics.

What happened to this project? it looked like all was well then not so well? Also any idea as to when you will be selling bumpers? I noticed there are no more vendors on here selling bumpers. Id like to see some up. Allied use to have some nice ones -

Gas tank fix? or just do a fuel cell?
yodannyc replied to yodannyc's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I could see getting pulled over a lot with funny looks from LEO's LOL Although the keg is a pretty cool idea. im really excited to get this project going. Ill post pics once i do -
So i am looking at buying a brat for a smoking deal. He said the only issue is a rust hole in the gas tank that makes it leak gas. So i was just curious how easy would it be to replace the gas tank in a brat? Or should I just weld a custom fuel cell in the back and re-route the fuel lines?
