so your the one who bought it! I was going to buy it. just didn't have extra cash. yeah i kno the guy who you bought it from. he is really cool and did alot of work on it. He knows what he's doing when it comes to cars. that is a tough little rig. Yeah my plan was to finish it with more welding and rhino lining the back. then giving it a camo paint job. but nice find. i am the one who posted it earlier. cause i was trying to help him sell it. if you live around p-town hit me up sometime to go weeling:banana: -
WOW!!! that is awesome! a true inspiration. i want a RX now!

well actually they are new rotors. I did jack up my car and tried moving the wheel and it moves. So yeah i think it is my tie rods. i looked up another thread on this and someone had the same problem and it turned out to be there ball joints and bushings, i think they also said there tie rods. So i will check it all out. I am still learning about cars as you know GD. Not all of us was born with mechanical skills like you bud.

So this is the symptoms of my car (87' subaru wagon) shudders when i brake and going at a high speed. Not warpped rotors! checked and had the m resurfaced. Or alighnment! Les shwab tells me it my tie rods. Brake shop said it was my rack and pinion. So which is it or is it niether? cause swhab wants $350.00 to do the job that i think i can do for $150. If that is what is really wrong with it. OPINIONS??? thanks DC

Alright, so here is the deal. Short story of myself, i'm 18, short income and i have a 87 subaru wagon, new engine, exhaust, and tons of little things that add up to a lot of money that is in to this wagon of mine. Recently i found out that i need new tie rod ends and new axles. If i do the work myself i figure bout $250 to do it all. not bad. I just got a deal from my mom though. she said she would sell me her 96' toyota camery, which she has been the only owner of and it has been in maculate condition, awesome maintenance and premo wheels. for a $1000 less from blue book. $3000 which i can afford if i sell the suby. I really dont know what i want to do. I am pretty indecisive. I love the wagon but it seems like things keep costing money. but i have replaced almost everypart so i dont what more could go wrong. my tranmission? jk! knock on wood! I mean the toyota is nice! and i could resell it for bout $4000 after i buy it. shhhhh dont tell my mom that or she wont sell it to me. she is just tired of me sinking money in to a 18 yr old car. So here is the plan for the wagon if i do keep it. convert to spfi, 3" lift, cargo basket with lights on top, rear disk brakes. bout $1500 or more. but i would have the ultimate(to me that is) subaru wagon. Then again, my mom is offering a 1 year warrenty on the toyota too! RRRRR!!! this very frustrating i really cant decide. HELP PLEASE! I NEED OPINIONS AND PRO'S VS. CONS THANKS!

hmmmmmmmm...... wow sounds almost like my story only i was stupid enough to sink money in to it then to trash it then to sink more money in to it. what is even funnier my wagon looks almost exactly like yours! ha ha so what i am doing is going to go buy a 98' impreza sport! finace the *************** and love it to death! the amount of money i sunk in to my "rally" wagon was enough to buy a newer impreza which is what i really want.

ok well it is clicking. it is a pretty good size gash so i am losing grease like theres no tomorrow. He said to not replace just the boot because it will not solve the problem in the long run. Hey flowmastergl how much does richie charge? i lost his shops number. i wouldnt mind doing it if i had a air lift. lol but just that little jack is going to suck! oh well i am going to shop around tomorrow and see what kind of deal i can scrounge up. if i can find a place that will do it for under $200.00 i will have them do it. if not i'll do it. appreciate all the help! -
Alright so my cv boot has a big gash in it. the mechanic tells me to just get a whole new cv joint because its not worth spending money for just the boot. hes says it will just end up having more problems. he quoted me $250.00 just for one cv joint. i asked how much for just the part. he said $150.00 So i have never done a cv joint and i dont know how hard it is. his work is warranted, so should i spend the extra hunderd and have him do it for a warrantee or should i risk it and do it myself? i only have a small jack and a small set of tools. and very little knowledge on cv's. what do you guys think? is his price reasonable?

so how much is the third pricing bracket? i didnt understand. sorry. can you email me again. how much is a ea-82 moderate lift. thanks.
