  1. So far, I've found kits that you assemble yourself from a DIYauto tuning place for $134 (version1). Any other way? Anybody have a used one they want to get rid of? Thanks
  2. I'm not in the program myself, but I was in Industrial Design for a couple years and worked a little bit with Eric Leonhart (*spelling). There is SO much going on at once there. It seems like if you want to get something done, you have to be motivated figure it out yourself. Eric is being pulled in so many directions and it's hard to get him to focus on anything. A bit scatterbrained too! Other than that, I don't know much about it. Sorry!
  3. You were definitely right all along! Although I wish you weren't. I NEED to figure out how to get this Legacy wheel on my justy... I was thinking of pressing out the splines in my wheel and welding them to the legacy wheel or something along those lines. What do you all think??
  4. Hey I got my horn button off! If you pull hard from the top, it will pop off okay. There are four clips, and the top two are angled upwards, so that is why you have to pull from the top. But, yes. the splines are not even close to the same... Now the question is how can I make the legacy steering wheel that I bought work in my justy???
  5. That's what I wanna hear! Alright, I'll buy the megasquirt... I can't wait! If I can get anywhere NEAR 115hp, I'd be stoked! Thanks for the post. If you have more pictures, post them here, or post a link or email them to me or something. Thanks again, Dylan
  6. I just bought a blow off valve today. Even if I get a megasquirt system, Do you think I still need a fuel pump?? I also need to do something about oil. I know oil pumps are a common problem with these cars, and would definitely pose a threat to a turbocharged motor. As far as I know, mine is okay, but I'm thinking about replacing it anyway just to be safe. I've seen that lifted justy. Looks like fun!
  7. Ha Ha! I'm about too try something like that... I went and bought a large HAMMER yesterday.
  8. well that stinks. I'd still like to get my horn button off and have a look-see. I tugged and pryed and yanked on the thing, no luck!
  9. I guess Wednesday is off then, eh? I didn't even realize what day it was!
  10. okay, can't get it off. Any other tips?? Thanks in advance. Dylan
  11. Thanks for the post! I'll let you know if it doesn't work. Hoping my new wheel will fit. I'll have to post a picture if it does, should be interesting!
  12. Still need a little help getting the horn button off my justy. Anybody done it? I can't see any screws or anything. Thanks
  13. have an ea81 for that. Need to learn to turbocharge. The best way to learn is to do it. I plan on making mistakes, but I also plan on having fun and having a running car when I'm finished!
  14. So I'm soo close to starting on my turbo project. I just have to bite the bullet and buy a megasquirt system (I've been hoping there are other ways, but it seems like this would just be a good investment) So I have: -RHB5 Turbo -Audi Intercooler -Boost Gauge -WRX hood scoop:brow: -Gtech Pro Competion What I need: -Megasquirt -Injectors? -intercooler/turbo piping -oil cooler what I have questions about: -Manual boost controller? Seems like a good idea, but it also seems like something you could assemble at a hardware store instead of paying $30 for one on ebay... -see anything I am obviously missing?? Thanks guys!
  15. It's a 1990 justy, efi. Do you know if the splines are the same on a justy as any other car.. say a legacy? I'm trying to put a legacy wheel on my justy...:-p Thanks! Dylan
  16. Thanks for the tip. Right now I'm having a bit of trouble getting even the horn cover off!
  17. can't figure out how to get the horn button off... :-\ Please help! Thank you.
  18. Come on! I KNOW that more people out there are messing around with justys!
  19. Sounds like a pretty cool setup Chris. As for megasquirt being crap: That's the first negative thing I've heard about it. Have you had any problems with it? Right now I'm having a hard time affording even that system, so buying a $1000 engine management (like the ones you mentioned) is probably not going to happen right now... I can dream though!
  20. Does the Justy share a wheel pattern with any other cars? I just bought a JDM Legacy momo wheel for the justy, and wondering if it will fit...
  21. My '91 318is had a trunk mount battery. Probably because it was the "is" model.
  22. Right on Just-Y. Post pictures and info here when you break ground.
  23. Hope you made it home okay Andy. Thanks for pulling me out Scott! Testing image place... Hey it worked! thanks for that too scott
  24. Thanks Matt! I'm very anxious to see the pictures of your setup! you can post them, or email them to me if you'd like: djkindt@hotmail.com So do you think if you had a new oil pump then the turbo would have survived? Anything that might help me out would be greatly appreciated. I'm ready to start on this thing, except I can't afford megasquirt right now (college student). But I'm savin' up and will hopefully be able to soon. Thanks again! Hey Just-Y, Good luck with your quest! yeah, a twin turbo rotary would pretty sweet in any car... even a rx7!
