Nor*Cal / Nevada Crowd. WCSS Plans??
FWIW Brian, the "Starting location" on those itineraries is from downtown Reno. Jibs' place is about 20 miles north of there, so the show is actually a half hour or so closer than that . But I (89451) am still an hour away from Jibs'... Just my 2 bucks

Pete Please let us know how it went...how you configured your braces and lift, failed attempts and how corrected, that sort of stuff. Pix would be dandy:).

WCSS 11 Date and Location!
OK. In the name of "being prepared", will there be food served/for sale on site? Which days? No problem if not, it'd be just nice to know what type of "supplies" to pack (or not) before leaving home.

If you have to buy any of the materials/devices to do the above, it may be simpler, cleaner and cheaper just to rent a cherry picker. IIRC I saw a rental place (on Industrial, sorta behind Hamdogs Bar) that handled that sort of stuff. Just my 2 bucks

Nevada Meet Weekend of July 25th
Not much relief from the heat here. It's been hovering around 100 in Reno all week. It's even been in the high 80's in Tahoe, which is unusually warm. I'm working on meeting up with y'all on Saturday afternoon. I may be working at Harvey's Casino that day, and I don't know how late that'll go. Don't need anything from PNP, but I'd like to hang with you guys at least for a little while, before WCSS. My number's the same as it has been forever.

New guy saying hello!
Welcome to our little community here..an excellent source for Subaru information, and a swell bunch of folks. If you can make it, a lot of us get together every year at WCSS (West Coast Subaru Show). http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=99432, and http://www.westcoastsubarushow.com/. Many old Subarus like ours (I've an '83) have made the trip there many times and from much farther away than Santa Rosa. Very cool weekend:). You're certainly invited. I used to spend many weekends in Santa Rosa, back in the days I lived in Pleasanton. My bud has an auto repair business over near Fulton Rd, and knows my '83 pretty well. If you get in over your head as I have many times, and need a pro mechanic (everything except smog) this guy's pretty good. Works evenings and on weekends, too. Pagnano's Automotive 2815 Alton Ln. Red Rock Fire
http://www.ktvn.com/Global/story.asp?S=10733424 Hey Jibs, isn't this near you? I could see the smoke plume from Tahoe this afternoon, didn't realize where it was until I saw the news (Channel 2). Please let us know if we can help you out. It might be a good idea just to think about what to grab in a hurry in case you have to leave suddenly (been there, done that:rolleyes:).

EA 81 Touring Wagon?
Wow Pete, I had re-read my post to remember what I wrote. I've seen that car parked there intermittently, sometimes nearer the Wells Fargo than Pizza Barn, up until about the middle of 2008..I guess that's been about a year now. Another thought. It may belong to someone that works in that bike/ski shop next to the pizza place, but like I said, I haven't seen it for awhile. I do still watch for it when I pass through town, though on a very irregular basis. I have a bud that works right along main drag in G'ville that's a "car guy", next time I see him I'll ask him to keep an eye out for it. I have a feeling it's parked "non-operational" somewhere locally, it'd be a cool car to revive and bring to WCSS. With any luck, one of us will "stumble" onto it.

Need help finding stupid little Brat specific plastic thingy...
There are wholesale suppliers of fasteners that supply body shops and such that have catalogs of practically every kind of automotive fastener ever made. (I have a friend that used to work for one of them long ago, and neither of us can recall the name of the company:-\) They may not have a specific listing for BRATs or anything that old, but I recall every item had a picture and dimensions in the descriptions. I got some for a door panel to an Accord I had many years ago, they came in a box of about 15 or 20. I just matched up the old fastener to the pic in the catalog, and voila..worked perfectly. Didn't cost much either, like $5 for the box. Finding one of those suppliers might be the way to go, they'll probably have exactly the right item. It worked for me. Just my 2 bucks
