  1. quebechatch, are you still looking to sell the lift off of your hatch?
  2. i don`t know why, but i like the looks of that topper on that brat, gives it an original untouched look
  3. NICE SCORE NICKY!! looks cherry, welcome to the brat family:cool: you probly could put that one on evilbay and double your money or more:lol: anyway, congrats on it
  4. are the GF and FE motors the same? i am buying an FE engine which also has a little higher compression.
  5. the motor i am buying is pretty much a standard ea71, BUT it has slightly higher compression. this motor comes from the FE coupe model subaru made in the 70s, FE stood for "fuel efficient" it also has a weber attatched to it, so it should be cool.
  6. i had a JDM ea71 in my old 80 hatch, it said ea71 in the usual space. i really didn`t notice any differences between a standard ea71 besides it being so much tighter and smoother running because of the lower miles.
  7. sounds good, thanks i am going to pick up a higher performance motor for the brat next week. its out of an FE so it has slightly higher compression, and it also has a weber on it. all this with the electronic disty swap and a high flow exhaust should make the brat pretty quick, it would also be cool to take out the front axle stubs and make it rwd:D can you say BURNOUT:D lol
  8. Thanks Adam, i`ll see you next week. i looked it up and you are right on the way to where i am going to get the brat. nice talking to you, i`ll call again a couple days before we leave next week. take care, Jon
  9. Nice collection you guys got there:brow: worse comes to worse, you can live in your soobs and take showers at truck stops:lol:
  10. please let me know when you decide a price, i want it, but really don`t want to spend a fortune on it. Subieguy offered to give me one a while back, but i haven`t heard from him since. i am willing to pay. for shipping, i heard of someone just wrapping it in bubble wrap or card board and slapping a fed ex label on it. the spoiler on it is made from the front of a high topper cut off by a sawsall, it really looks pretty neat on there giving it a "big rig" look, and it functions to keep the air off people sitting in the jumpseats.
  11. Sounds like you got a nice deal for a fun project:D gen 1`s are few and far between these days, around here they are non existant. how much are you looking to get for the pushbar? my 78 needs one:brow: take care, Jon
  12. looking forward to the details, i`m sure you would have fun with it if you got it. you have a nice set of jumpseats for it right:brow: do you guys get much rust over in Montana?
  13. Adam, i am looking at picking your engine up next week, so please let me know, i have cash
  14. Ennio (cricket) lives in houston, and has a blue 78 Subaru 4wd Wagon
  15. i`m still interested if you`ll sell it reasonably, actually, i am buying a brat up in Lisbon Falls Maine, and might be able to swing by and pick your stuff up on the way if i find a truck to use. whats the best you would take for the lot? pm if you want.thanks jon
  16. EV, when did you get an ea81t? details? i thought you had that XT
  17. Jerry Demoss helped TurboXT put a lift on that brat i sent you pics of, he may be able to help with your Q's
  18. actually, whats the best you`d take for a complete ea81 lift?i think i can handle lifting the whole thing if the price is right. if i get a friend to go in on another ea81 lift, would the price be a little better?thanks Jon
  19. hi shady, would it be possible to buy a 2-3 inch lift for just the front of an ea81 brat? i don`t want to lift the rear, just the front to level it out. thanks Jon
  20. i always like the ones that look like crap even better though, it adds to the sleeperness making you think its just an old beat up daily driver with like 300k on it, but then when you get moving, they wake up:lol:
