  1. also if the A/T fluid temp light ever goes on, stop IMEDIATLY, these trannys fry fast.
  2. it might not hurt to install outback struts in the rear, so the bottom of the car is a little higher for towing, but otherwise you should be fine. my uncle pulled a 12 foot pop-up with his forester on many family trips (his forester is a 2.5ltr) he towed over many mountains with it too. as long as you kick the tranny down to 3rd manually, it won`t loose much speed on the hills. he was running 60mph up hill and 70 on flat ground. his milage was around 19 with the cruise on. the trailer was a rockwood 12ft, not sure of the wieght, but i was not able to pick up the front of it.
  3. hey, this almost looks like a foxmobile:brow: http://seattle.craigslist.org/car/137041481.html

  5. well, i just went out and bought a quart of gloss navy blue rustoleum, mineral spirits, brushes/rollers, and sandpaper. i am going to try painting some panels on the brat with it. i will let you guys know how it comes out:cool:
  6. sounds interesting:brow: only problem is that i got my liscence suspended again:banghead: ......its a long story:-\ and it wasn`t in a soob;) it was in that damn fast hyundai:lol: maybe still if i can get a friend, or my pop to give me a ride up, and tow the brat behind. that would be cool to weld up the exhaust and off road for a couple hours (one place where i can still drive:D ) any progress on the hatch? hows she running?
  7. if you have a traction problem, and don`t mind loosing a little cargo space, just drop some sandbags in the back, and you`ll be all set;) no need to get all technical and write a story:lol:
  8. as long as the motor is well protected, you should do OK. the rest of the car will just drag along:grin:

  10. did it have a white pushbar? maybe its Mudisfun's car?
  11. i emailed and asked him if he wanted $2500, and that $25,000 must have been a misprint, and i got a snotty response:-p lets face it, new the car was probly around 4-5k right? so i guess he thinks the value should appreciate 5 times in 29 years:confused:
  12. Zap, i`m sure you`ve wheeled with ea81 subes, would you say the Imp is any better in the mud/ice than a ea81? what are the ea81`s better points, and the Imp`s better points? just out of curiosity....... i always did want to really offroad a sube, but i always just wheel with mine in stock configuration.
  13. thats only $22,219 in U.S. money:brow: could almost get away with just selling the house, and keeping the kid:clap: i wish i was a rich guy into subes, i would scarf that thing up in a heartbeat.

  22. its a white 94 justy 2 door, fwd, 5sp. clean body and interior, 140k miles. the guy wants $125 for it. if i pass, are you interested? i was reading on the justy site, that the crankshaft pulley bolt loosens up causing the key way to shear off. maybe if the pulley was taken off, and a larger key was added, and than everything put back together and tightened to the max, that just might work, i`ll have to check it out. thanks Jon
  23. thanks for the heads up! now i just have to see if i can get pete to ship it:brow: shipping will run about $500, so for $800, it doesn`t seem to bad. the rust free ones are non-existant over here. thanks again, Jon
  24. thanks Andrew, 1 more question, if the doner engine is out of an ecvt justy, will the bellhousing and flywheel line up to a 5sp? thanks Jon
