i read the whole forum a little bit ago thinkin about my 85 gl10 mpfi which has a rod knocking. i been told that my engine is the engine from an xt6. now my question is couldnt i put a turbo from a wrx if i got all the same components listed? or would i need a different cpu as well or more?

u should find some 24v batterys and try wiring them in series. it would haul if u got it to work

im still wondering what the inside looked like i see 1 picture but dont understand the beads. are they suposed to stay in the bag or be movin around? do i still use steel wool too? i have a ea81 please any more info would be great. im very interested even though my car is dying

almost 200000. it drove like a champ till about a week ago i sank the engine in a mud hole/pond oh and the hubs are out they grind so bad just havent had time to do it

lol great, thanks for the quick feedback. so im not sure what a wet test is but im planin on pullin the engine this weekend and lookin at the valves or anything else that may be wrong. i know my oil light keeps commin on so ill probably replace the pump aswell

derr i guess i should have proof read it. sorry anyways i had 3 out 4 pistons have pressure. the 3 at about 100 and the 1 at 0 which is piston 1. i can also pull off the disty cables on the right side and doesnt effect the engine

ok so today i went and did a cylinder test and 3 out 4 should psi. so well im pretty sure its a stuck valve its #1 piston but what i did do is replace the spark plugs cause they were looking pretty bad. now my engine is running much much better not wanting to die... so im kinda lost

well it goes like this. i pulled the plug on the disty to figure out wtf was going on and figured out if i pull any on the right it doesnt effect anything and on the left it dies cause theyre actully working. so anyways i think it maybe a plug. any suggestions?

ya i love it, now im having problems with the right side of the engine im hoping its a spark plug fouled.

i keep reading about these swaps some say no problem some say it dont work. so i have a 83 gl10 and a broke 85 mpfi gl10. can i swap intake manifolds? if so maybe some one can point me in the right direction. thanks:horse:

great thanks guys i will take the seat out in a little bit and check it out. im betting if its under there, that all the water that has been in my car its effected it. ive taken it threw many ponds no lakes or creeks yet

ok i have a 83 gl10 wagon all the windows used to roll down now recently the right rear has stopped i took it apart hooked juice to it to make sure it worked and it does. now im wonder how or where the wiring could be messed up or if there something else? thanks:confused:

hey i thought id let every 1 know there is a much cheaper way of dynamating. if u go to lowes or home depot they have roof mat which is a tar type paper, which is the same exact thing but is much more dirty and smelly but this is what i always recomended to all my friends.

i went and checked it out. if its the silver 1 out front its not for sale.

you wouldnt believe tonight, SakoTGrimes and i were out at the white city pounds in southern oregon and i have a stock 83 gl 10 wagon and he a modded wagon not sure what year but same body buuut anyways we were 4x4ing the crap out of are cars and he got stuck. so i was getting ready to put him out and he gets out so were suposed to be taken off cause its past dusk and i leave. i come back and hes stuck again actully high centerd i try to pull him out but no go on that so anyways on the way out this huge 4x4 chexy dulley asks if we need help and so he goes out there with his front axle broke so only 2wd but still huge with 4 tires in the back. so he gets stuck tryin and to free SakoTGrimes so he keeps tryin put roll him self out but no go then he was like do u have 4x4 and of course i do so i kinda was just like i guess i can pull u out and next thing u know im pulling this huge chevy dulley out with my little subby then about crashes into my car within like an inch. so im just amazed i pulled it out like it was nothing, im not sure if he was happy or what hehe so anyways sorry for draggin my story on i just had to tell it.
