  1. So it is placed where I said it was, I want to make sure I look and pull the right part.
  2. Another question, will the turbo stil work with it wired up like this.
  3. Well sadly the car is no worth $600, The frame is starting to go and I only am useing it as a knock around car. I just wanted to now so if I find a used one I will take it. Thanks
  4. I ahve a 3 speed auto in my 87 Gl-10 Turbo, the car has 111,000 miles and the tranny shifts when you do it manually but when in Drive the tranny takes about two seconds to get in gear and shifts sluggishly. Servoed it and its beter but I was told the input shaft can be worn, from what I read does the tranny have to be out or can I do it in the car. I was told its on the passenger side and has three bolts, well I found a three bolt item that sticks out about half an inch and is circular. Also do I have to be carefull when takeingit out if its easy. Thanks
  5. On my 87 turbo, the waste gate is wired open. The linkage is there so I decided to wire it up like it should, well when I hooked it up and started it lots of blue smoke was comeing from the exhaust. Wired it back up and its ok, no smoke. Why.
  6. Ok then, I will look for the input shaft. I hope its easy to remove.
  7. well if you say so, I am not going to put any money in it really, The frame does't look to god but if the price is right and I find one I will take it. I have to look at it beter. As for the ranny is this part easily accesable and if so will a newer subaru one work, we have an 93 legacy I think with a bad tranny but if its the same looking, if not any three speed right, I have 1,2,D.Thanks
  8. hi everyone as im new here. I have an 1987 Gl-10 Turbo that was given to me. I am going to use this car as a run about and have found some things wrong with it. I think its the watse gate to the turbo, it looks like a vacume canister on the back of the turbo. There is a pice of wire to the end that is holding it open I guess for some aperent reson and I want to know why someone would do this. The linkage is there but its not connected unless it broke. Also the tranny slips alittle is this common, i changed the fluid and am going to add some stop slip today and it seems to be better. It will shift manualy fine just not in drive very good. will shift but sorta weird. Is 15 mph then 28 mph good for where it is shifting. Thanks
