  1. I don't have a owners manual and wanted to know whats the best way to treat a turbo soob. I think for the turbo ones they should warm up alitle and the after driveing let them sit at idel for a minute. Is this the right way.
  2. A vaccum line. Where is this vaccum line you are talking about. I hope its this that is causeing all this trouble.
  3. Ill see if its still there. It was black and said 4wd turbo on the side. I don't think its still there but i can check. Last I know the owner of the car had his junk cars crushed.
  4. Well I hope I didn't mean to start an argument. This is my first subaru and well I searched and figured I would just ask.I kinda figuerd that they didn't but you never know, and besies I did write in my first post "this is the stupidest question ever". This is my first subaru and I just wanted to ask becasue of my brake issue. so thanks for the replies and I will see how the rest of my week turns out as its a bad one already.
  5. Metal line assembly, how do I do this I really need to get this fixed my car doesent want to start sometimes. I looked at i ain and I though it would be accesable from under the rear seat.
  6. I have a factory equalizer and was wondering if I changed my speakers if I had to use speacial ones.
  7. I have an 87 Gl-10 auto and was wondering if the autos had hill holder. I know t is the stupidest question ever and I thought they were only a 5 speed thing but I wanted to ask. It sounds like my front passenger side brake is locking up. When I step on the brakes and then go it grids and squeels then will stop after a little bit of driveing. My brake petal if spongey, alot and the brakes arethere but slow at stoping. I have yet to pull he wheel and see whats up but I read of the hill hlder sticking, also it could be the e brake. The brake petal also ppulsates and pushes up and down when I stop so I am sure I need front rotors. What do you think.
  8. Over by me in my fathers junk yard was a justy 4WD turbo, is that what you posted.
  9. Well when I got the car the tranny sliped. So I changed the fluid and aded a botle of lucas tranny stop slip and it semed to work fine. However when the car is cold and I start it up and try to go it is so low and barely moves, rev the gas and it will start to moved then sortta clunk into gear but not a noise type clunk it just goes. I checked the shift gear slector and its not apple cored at all, then I pushed in one of the spring loaded valves and it got stuck in, took it apart and cleaned it and installed and it seemed fine. I think it only does it sometimes because this morning it was fine. Could it be stuck again. It only does this when cold and then sorta takes one or two seconds when shifted from park to D, and will clunk in reverse but not slip. If I stop at a light its is fine. Is it also supposed to shift when on the gas hard or will it stay at a lower gear, because as I let off it shifts. It will shift fine when you shift manually., but when you shift to D after 2 it seems to/does shift to third. Also if anyone has ever had this problem what they did to fix it, I am hopeing its just the type of fluid I used which was advanced and a bottle of Lucas stop slip. Also what fluid do you guys run and should I try. What are the shift points for an 3 speed auto tranny, mine goes to second at about 15 mph then third at 28 and then sounds like it wines out, I guess this is normal as there is only three gears. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to get everything in.
  10. I have a leak under the drivers side rear seat. Its under the car off course but its in this area about half a foot in. There are two metal fuel lines in this area and they go inside the floor through a rubber gromet. How can I fix these lines. They are replaceable and hopefully can be easilty accesible. I hope so, just put the car on the road today (87 Gl-10 turbo) its an automatic and I got 48 miles on 3 gallons of gas with the leak, so I think it should be better with it fixed. Its a steady drip at idle and its letting the gas back feed in the lines so its hard to start.
  11. Sorry but im trying to sell the car as a whole, Its a complete car that I bought to fix but have no time anymore.
  12. I had this on my Gl-10 sedan. The previous owner had regular shocks installed at some time of the cars life. At least the fronts are changed it looks like the back is still air shock supsention and the back sits higher to. The light for the height switch blinks along with the dash ride height message.
  13. People often can bring ultra expensive cars into the oddedst areas. Over by me in the boonies in the farm neck of the woods there is a guy from the city that owns a 02 Bently Contenital Gt and parks it in an old beaten barn when hes up for the weekend, and there is a yellow Diablo by me to.
  14. my Gl-10 has those same fog lights also, I mean just one with a cover still:rolleyes: the other is broken and all rusted out and missing a cover. the one doesent work ither. Is the switch in the on position when up or down.:-\
  15. Thats a nice Gl-10 you got yourself there, like the color to. Sigh, I wish mine were that clean, I have rust in alot of areas and if the car wasent so bad I would fi up the body. I was wondering about rareity because if I found anotherone I would buy it because they are nice cars and I don't see much of them.
  16. As for the MKIII's yes I have two of them. An 87 turbo, targa, sport package, 5 speed, black wih grey, and an 89 turbo, auto. Sadly both have BHG and I had hoped to fix hem but have no time. Both need work so I am just going to sell them. I always like them but they seem to be problematic.
  17. Thanks for looking for me, It was makeing me crazy because I am putting it on the road tuesday and wan't this fixed.
