  1. Ok will do, I already cleaned out as much as possible. Its just hard to find time to do this as I am always on the go. I also checked the seam at the back of the tank. It looks as if its leakeing from here somewhere or just from the side and them spreading. Its hard to tell because the gas spreads everywhere.
  2. Well I havent called yet, I just figued that someone on here has replaced and bought one before and just wanted to know if it was a dealer item only. Also the cost this.
  3. Well I was going o hit the local junk yards tommorow. I am monitoring the leak as of right now and makeing sure it is the lines. the only thing is that when I try o clean up the area I dont want to break them off.
  4. I am going over to my friends house tommorow and will probly take my Gl-10 4WD in the woods and go bahahing. He has trails becuase he has had manny field cars.
  5. I have decided to try and change the module on my 87 Gl-10 auto to see if that fixes my tranny problem. Is this a dealer item, if so what will this cost.
  6. Wow this is crazy I was just going o post the same thread. I have an 87 Gl-10 4WD and I just fixed two gas lines under the rear seat on the drivers side. I was drive ing the car today on a 60 mile round trip and smelt gas when I opend the window or sunroof. I saw no dripping anymore like before. Well when the car was at my dads garagee I noticed that the tank also leaked. This sucks royaly. It appears to be the seam of the tank right by the filler neck but I think its lust the filler neck hose leak. But there is also two little lines in the side of the gas tank by the filler neck and this is what appears to be leaking which appears to be going over the seam. Are these common leaks. I am worried though that if I mess with it the line will break of. Hopefully its just the clamps and not the metal line that the hose attaches to so can anyone help us. I also don't mean to high jack your thread.
  7. Looks good, those pics remind me of when I tore apart my 71 super beetle motor for my VW bug. Same style almost.
  8. Well I have herd mostly about the por 15. I have seen it when finished and it is very shiny and is thick and solid as steel.
  9. Well ok then I will keep my Gl-10 turbo then. I really love this car its a real nice cruiser and just great daily driver car. I am going to start repairing the body then.
  10. My 87 GL-10 has rust on the door bottoms and just around in general. I think that where the rear sub fram bolts up is some what rusted. Since its a turbo and I love this car I would really like to keep it. I wanted to know how manny of you have patched the rear sub frame area inorder to keep your soob's.
  11. Well ok then, I will get this transx stuff and even change over to Full syntec fluid. What kind of synthetic tanny fluid is good and this is just a drop pan and refill type change right.
  12. I have searched and havent fond anything about what type of fluid. I have only found a thread as close as what had happend to Boosted84wagon and he has help me in the most possible way that he can. I have looked at my tranny and There is a large hose out of the top and not going to anythig, I guess this is a breather. I also found the module vaccum line and will replace this and also the module. How much does this cost. The only other thing I can think of is that the module is bad and it only works when the vaccume is stressed.
  13. well then maybe I will look in the junk yard for some alloy wheels, At least they will be better than the steel.
  14. Thanks again guys, I never had a turbo car ( aleast on the road ) so I wanted to do it some good.
  15. No body knows anyhing about where the vaccum line and the modualator is then. Or no one has had a slipping automatic tranny and then tried to use a special fluid and had it work.
  16. Well I did search for "wheels" but should have tried rims. Next time I will look a litle harder. Thanks though for the help, I will just try to find 14" wheels from an older subaru then. Oh and thanks for the link bella.
  17. Ok, My dad has a 93 legacy and I want to get the 14" wheels over the 13" wheels for my Gl.
  18. Will all subaru wheels fit, how about other car wheels.
  19. See and you all thought I was crazy for saying there was a Turbo 4WD Justy.
  20. I looked at my rear seat and its bolted down, took out the bolt and I can see the three lines easily. Does anyone know what size all three hoses are, I need to get the rubber fuel hoses to cut and replace the rusted ones.
